I listen to the Adam Carolla podcast, and Jeff Garlin made an appearance. He said the new season of curb is coming out in September... AND....

The entire cast of Seinfeld are making appearances this season, all four cast members in multiple episodes. ZAP!

This is pretty fantastic news.

Greatest comedy ever?
Theraflu
Anyone catch the preview for this season? Looks great, and the preview itself is a nice look at the show. September 20 is the first episode.

This is hard to say. comedy, more than almost any other form of entertainment, dates quickly. Ground breaking comedies like I love lucy and the dick van dyke show are pretty much not watchable now. I will say curb is my favorite comedy, right now.

I forgot all about Leon. Can't wait.
speedz99
Leon is certainly one of the greatest television characters to come along in quite a while.

The new episode didn't disappoint, which is pretty rare for a show that comes with such high expectations. Loved it.

Don't condescend to me with your tiny pear.

My favourite line of the episode.

The funniest part for me was Catherine O'Hara (Bam Bam) generally being crazy on the sofa. She was cracking me up, I genuinely laughed out loud. She is one of my favourite actresses.
Ron_Mexico
Need more Leon but it was a good ep overall. The one thing about Jeff that bothers me though is he doesn't ad lib well, he usually just repeats what Larry says first. But I'm being overly critical.

You know, I was thinking just about the same thing, when Jeff was sitting there, fixing the bike, and Larry said he felt like Cinderella, and Jeff just floundered around. Sometimes Jeff is gold, but other times he just blathers.

I thought that scene worked actually. I thought his floundering made it seem like a ridiculous comparison, which I think it was supposed to be the case. I may be wrong, but it worked for me.

And absolutely more Leon. I want them to pound Leon down my throat this season. Hard. So I can taste the Leon in my mouth. I want to find out how much Leon is too much Leon. Because I don't think there's any amount of Leon that would taste bad in my mouth.

Of course the blacks move out but thankfully Leon stays behind.

One of the best episodes ever, in my opinion. I rewound and re-watched at least 5 different parts of that episode.

god what a great show

just last week I bought 2 of the exact same Husky box knives in this episode and had to use one to open the other. The first one was a serious pain in the ass to get open.
timwakefield
Another great episode. For whatever reason, the beginning where he's wrestling with the package and furiously searching the kitchen for something sharp, and rather than take the time to look for scissors or whatever he just grabs what's closest - a screwdriver, a butterknife, etc - anyways I found that scene really hilarious.
Ron_Mexico
fantastic ep as everyone said. Good stuff

"i'ma go upstairs and eat dis mufckin chinese food, in my room"

Best show on HBO right now ainec. Anyone know how many episodes their is this season?
bigkg
I just watched the episode.

That episode was amazing, like everybody else has said. Leon was incredible.

you know, if this were any other show, I'd say that Leon staying after the blacks leave, followed by the Seinfeld reunion would be classic signs of shark jumping.. but with curb, I just don't ****ing care. I want more Leon... I can't wait for the Leon/Michael richards scene that's inevitably coming.

i'd love to see it but something tells me that michael richards will be as far away from black people in the future as they can keep him

genius would be leon yelling at him for the stand up incident and then them becoming friends but it won't happen

Genius would be doing something completely unexpected with it. But you might be right about it not happening...it'll be interesting to see what happens.
LadyGrey
I love this

Great episode. The best part for me was when he was being annoying in the doctors office. "Prrrrrrrrrrrhhhhh. Ever do this? Prrrrrrrrrrrhhhhh. This is the noise that horses make. Prrrrrrrrrrrhhhhh. I can see why they do it, it's fun".

I think that's exactly what's going to happen, actual. I can't see inviteing M. Richards on the show, and not doing something with race. LD has never shied away from awkward racial angles in the past, and I can't possibly see them letting a golden opportunity like this go. If it doesn't go down, it will be because Richards puts the ky-bosh on it. But I think his career is in such a toxic place right now, that he'd do about anything, take any risk, to jump start it again.
speedz99
And it's not like his career was flourishing before the incident.
grocery_mony
Never even thought of the possibilities of Richards and Leon interacting. That would be pretty sweet. Hope it happens.

lol good point

Meg Ryan has made an admirable return from looking like her face was a grotesque mix of hard as a rock and melting away. I mean, she still looks weird, but there's been a drastic improvement.

Also, of course, another great episode.

Yes! Yes! A million times yes!

However, if I'm telling Cheryl that she's playing George's ex-wife in the Seinfeld reunion show, I'm telling her in a setting that could lead to sex and not outside a Laker game where they're going to immediately part ways.
timwakefield
Brilliant. I almost want to stop watching and wait until the season ends, because I just wanna see the next one now!

'You tip in concert!'

'It's not completely sincere and it's not completely begrudging!'
BigDMcGee
My favorite part was his internal debate, between saving the guy's life and getting back together with Cheryl, or seeing the guy die. When he shrugged his shoulders over the guy's casket, I died laughing.
FCP Bob
Only thing wrong with the episode was no Leon, I guess we can't have everything.

Really? It was, as BigD said, the funniest part of the episode. The satisfaction of an "I told you so" over the coffin being comparable to the love and admiration of his wife and colleagues was just so perfect.

It really was the best part. I'm sad that Leon didn't make an appearance... but it seems like this 'reunion' plot might last a few episodes... so maybe Kramer/Leon will still happen.

I heard the cast is signed up for like 5-6 episodes or something, so keep hope alive.
