including best comedy series. That is pretty high praise.

I love this show but I think the earlier seasons were appreciably better than the current show. I still watch every week but it is not quite as hilarious. I am glad the show is getting more recognition.

I love the show. I also watch every week. They need to add newer shows to syndication schedule.

Very strange that Jeremy Piven wasn't nominated for supporting actor in a comedy series. Hes been nominated for it the last 4 years and has won the last 3. Hes also been nominated for the Golden Globe for the same category the last 5 years and has won once.

I think he deserves to be nominated but then again I don't watch the Office, Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother or 30 Rock so I cant really comment on the other nominees except Kevin Dillon who has been much worse the last year of Entourage and Piven definitely deserves at least his spot.

Was also hoping someone from Generation Kill would get nominated for one of the acting awards. Alexander Skarsgaard and/or James Ransone would be great, but again that's the only Miniseries or made for TV movie Ive seen that was nominated. David Simon gets no respect from the people who decide the Emmys.

Besides that Im hoping for Michael C. Hall to win(Cranston is obv a great choice too, but he already won last year), Michael Emerson for supporting and Lost for the big one(Ive actually seen most of the shows nominated for the big one).

I've yet to see even 1 episode which people tell me is a crime.

Still never seen The Big Lebowski either which I understand is also a crime

YES! Everyone got nominated who I wanted to.

Sheldon, from Big Bang Theory. It is cool that they put him in best lead actor, I thought they would put him in the best supporting category.

Jesse, from Breaking Bad.

Dwight, The Office.

Finally Family Guy gets some attention. Before this nomination, no one had ever heard of it.

Family Guy has its moments, but overall I don't find it that funny. South Park is a much better "adult" cartoon.

Also, Emmys...lol

yeah the emmys are not such a big deal but I was stunned that Family guy got this honor whereas the Simpsons were never nominated for best comedy series.

I think Family Guy and South Park are so fundamentally different that they are hard to compare. I know they are both animated comedies but they just dont have much in common outside of that.
