Maybe this has already been brought up but have any of the networks thought about making some sort of poker reality show? Kind of like maybe how NBC did with "Last Comic Standing" or the "Apprentice". I could see Daniel being the perfect host for it.
Other rules I would apply for it would to be on the show you could not have won over a certain amount of money from tournaments (this is so you get up and coming players who are hungry and not established players who could care less), have them do challenges during the show related to poker skills like a lie detector test etc. for prizes (like seats into tournaments and other prizes)
Then at the end of every week they will play a poker final table with ammunity being awarded to the winner. Each week it will be a different game (maybe the game could even be chosen by the skills challenge winner) followed by a vote to send someone home in the next weeks episode.
Winner of the whole thing could get a bankroll of half a million or something like that to spend on tournaments for a year with them (the winner) keeping their profits. They could only spend the winnings from the show on tournament poker and nothing else.
You would be combining two ratings monsters with poker and reality TV and believe a network station or cable station like ESPN could make a ton of money off of it with ratings. Maybe not ESPN because they are already poker heavy but NBC being last among the networks could use something like this to boost ratings back up.
Is this a good idea or am I just wishing too much? Let me know. Also is there anything else to ad on to the show.
