I've been at a table where that happened (not to me thankfully). I doubt I still have the hand history but if i find it i'll post it here.

I forget the exact hand, but here is the jist of it. There is one where a guy has the low end of a straight flush on the turn and the other person has quads ( i think maybe the high end of the SF) and this is at a bad beat jackpot table. The river comes with the one card that can ruin it, it is the next highest card in the straight flush and now only one of his hole cards plays and thus no bad beat jackpot. Cost him 5 figures.
