This happened to me 5 or 6 times tonight. Of coarse I have an aggressive image but do people make these kinds of plays enough shorthanded?

5/10 (5 handed)

Preflop: I get delt A icon_suit_spade.gif ,8 icon_suit_spade.gif on the button.
UTG folds,CO folds, I raise, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: 5 icon_suit_diamond.gif ,A icon_suit_club.gif ,9 icon_suit_heart.gif
SB checks, BB checks, I bet, SB calls, BB folds.

Turn: Q icon_suit_heart.gif
SB checks, I bet, SB raises, I 3-bet, SB calls.

River: 7 icon_suit_spade.gif
SB checks, I bet, SB calls.

The same thing happened quite a few times, and everytime I 3-bet.

Am I spewing?

Nah this seems fine to me.
Isn't he probably capable of raising you with any Queen, two hearts, or even a pocket pair?

Your reputation proabably hurts you some in these kind of cases tongue.gif

this is really weird. How on earth does that Q help them out? I doubt that its AQ. I think you're good here a lot, so no I don't think the threebet is a spew. He could very well have a weak ace, or just a queen

ide probably check the river

maybe he has Ax of hearts and is raising with top pair with a flush draw

I figured it would be Ax or some Q that thought it was good.

Same situation happened much times, however, I only did it with a pair of aces. One time I stole with J8 and got into it on the turn but didn't 3-bet my pair of eights.

So, what im really saying is, I have nothing to say.
