Bodog (so no converter) $7,500 Guaranteed
45 left, 36 pay
Average chips: 6,600
Hero has been at the table for 4 hands

Hero (SB): 6,900
BB: 12,000

Blinds: 400/800
Hero is dealt Q icon_suit_diamond.gif 9 icon_suit_club.gif

Folded to SB, raise to 2200, BB call.

Steal attempt here. BB hasn't played many hands and there are a total of 5 people with at least 12k in chips at the table.

Flop (4400): 3 icon_suit_spade.gif 8 icon_suit_spade.gif Q icon_suit_spade.gif

Hero goes all in (4700)

Should I have just checked here or bet half my stack? I figured this was a check or all in situation here and I didn't want to give him a free card to draw if he had a spade. The table has been really tight for the hands I was there, folding to the button or SB each time.

All-in looks fine to me - with your stack you're pot committed.

I wouldn't check as you hit TP - just hope the flop missed the BB

Pre-flop, I would have pushed - just my style with less than 10xBB.

It may be less then 10x BB, but it's also slightly above average. Bad scenario to push and hope the BB doesn't have a hand.

I do like the allin post flop.
