Hotwire is offering a 5-star hotel in the central strip for $108 a night. Does anyone know which hotel it is? I apologize if this is posted in the wrong forum. Thanks.

Which is when I realized that Hotwire's 5 star rating of Bills Gambling Hall was sketchy, at best.

Seriously, is that how Hotwire gets you? I've only booked through Hotwire once and it was just a cheapy hotel in Orlando so I didn't really think about what constitutes a 3 star to them.

I would be pretty upset if it ended up being anything but Bellagio/Caesar's Palace/Venetian. Good chance it could be the Mirage I suppose?

Hotwire is fine. I've used them a bunch, they haven't been wrong yet, with respect to their star designations.

I don't think they use the exact same ratings as the Mobile Stars, which can be found here: http://www.vegastodayandtomorrow.com/ratings.htm

By this page's listings, the only 5-star hotels are the MGM Skylofts, or the Tower Suites at the win. I'd imagine Hotwire's rating system includes most of the 4-star hotels as well, so I'd guess it's Bellagio or Venetian/Palazzo, although I'd put more money on it being the latter.

You can use this forum to very effectively determine which Hotwire hotel you're booking before you commit.

Just pick the board for the state you're visiting (Nevada, for instance), and it will tell you that "5 Star, Central Strip" correlates to the Wynn. Works for pretty much every hotel Hotwire and Priceline offers.

I as well use Hotwire everytime I get a hotel and it has never done me wrong.

Bills was not a 5 star, we booked last year and it was rated a 3.5 star and out of the three rooms we had at different strip hotels, Bills was by far the best room.

Yeah I've used Hotwire a couple times and the hotel has always been as good or better than expected.
