It is really hard for the top players to work their way through the large fields in WPT tourneys these days, but even more difficult for a 71 year old dude like Doyle. Doyle has said it is easier for the young guys to play all day for several days and keep their mental acuity.
However, I watched the Legends coverage last night where Doyle won. He totally ran over Lee once they were heads up and showed how a half century of professional poker experience pays off.

i have this tivo'd.
it is just sick to watch doyle own watkinson once they go heads up. of course, you only get the edited version.

Honestly, someone needs to coach Lee on his Heads-up game. The guy is extremely skilled, but this is his third beat-down heads up in the last 12 months (Mirage, Legends, Omaha WSOP)
He should have won at least two of those, perhaps the n00b at Omaha who thought he had a 4-card straight was just destined to win
