Wait, wait.... hold on... let me get this straight.
Rondo throws Hinrich into the scorers table: Flagrant 1 during the game, gets taken away later.
Earlier game today, Perkins purposely puts an elbow into Pietrus' throat: Flagrant 1.
Artest makes a completely standard foul to stop the guy from scoring: Flagrant 2?
REALLY???
That was nothing but a normal fucking foul. These ****ing NBA refs are out of their mind retarded!!!

Ya, I think it was also that the game was over and less than a minute left. No reason for anything else to happen.
Re: The clock issue. It looks as though you were right. The only way to really tell by watching a game is when there's less than a minute left in a quarter, and the game clock starts but the shot clock is still at 24. I get it, but it still doesn't make any sense to me why there would be no consistency with the game and shot clock. So ya, I was wrong.

The NBA admitted officials were wrong when they didn't call an intentional foul the Dallas Mavericks were trying to commit before Denver's Carmelo Anthony made a game-winning 3-pointer Saturday.

The thing that bugs me about that play is that the Mavericks all say they were intending to foul there and Wright even said that immediately after the shot went in.
But...he threw his arms up as Melo went around him acting like he didn't touch Melo. How do you expect to get a call when you don't make it obvious that you fouled the guy AND you made the international sign for "I didn't foul him"?
Obviously, I don't really care as the Nuggets are up 3-0 and would probably be pissed if the situation were reversed. But if you're going to foul somebody, foul him so there's no doubt (I'm not saying punch him in the face or anything) and don't act like you didn't foul him.

That wasn't nearly as annoying, though, as Steve Smith pronouncing Dirk's name as, "NO WISS KEES" the whole night.
And none of it was as annoying as him dropping 44 points.

I don't expect the Lakers to have the same troubles with Denver they did with Houston. Everyone is looking at LA like they are a lame horse waiting for someone to put them down, it's not going to be that easy. It's going to be an interesting series for much different reasons.

I don't know what to make of this series. At this point, I'm not convinced Denver CAN'T win like I was about a month ago but LA is not nearly as prone as a lot of people want to say they are. They dominated the games they really needed against Houston. I hope it's a fun series and obviously I hope Denver can get one in LA before it comes to Denver for Game 3.
I might look into going to Game 3 if it's not a 2-0 series with LA dominating both games at that point.

The Rockets matched up much better with LA than the Nuggies do. That high tempo game might backfire against LA. But I dont see the lakers steamrolling Denver either.....they are not playing at a high enough level (and obv. the Nuggies are playing so well so far).
I will go with LA in seven in what will be a GREAT series.
