There was like a 5 minute stretch after he made that shot before a dead ball forced a timeout, so I'm guessing they didn't have time to see it then. At least they got it right.

It's not so much the team with the layoff, but with the team that comes right in to the next series with the same intensity. It usually takes a half for the team with the layoff to match it.
Although, it probably won't matter for the Cavs. I thought they might have a little problem with the Hawks, but after seeing them in the 1st rd, I don't see how it goes more than 5.
Cleveland would steamroll the Hawks. I think it is a lot more likely they get Miami though who will probably find a way to steal at least one maybe two (they play Cleveland relatively well). But Cleveland is winning the East barring something weird (injury to Lebron).
Not surprised that Boston outlasted Chicago....but the Bulls are going to be dangerous next year. They need to do some thing in the offseason though. Sign and trade with Ben Gordon? His value will never be higher....

Agree, although if Chi-town could have traded Gorden directly after dropping 43, that would have been absolute peak.
Miami and the Hawks could both give the Cavs a series.. I think stretching it to 6 games would be realistic, but hey, stranger things have happened.
I would *not* count Boston out against the Cavs. I think that one definitely goes 6...

If we only had a bench...
what is it, like 15 points the last two games in 8 quarters and 4 OT's?
Also, totally agree with the Noah thing. I haven't liked him since Florida won the championship, but he's really impressed me. Great energy while being in control at the same time. Tommy said last night he's perfect for a team that's trying to run a lot, and he really is. His hair and his face are still awful, but he's still been fun to watch. Also, Tyrus Thomas is a tremendous help defender...I've always known he was a great athlete, but he really doesn't let much get by in the paint. I assume he's a big reason Rondo stopped driving to the hole last night, which is unfortunate since it's been working great all series.
Lastly, Orlando isn't that good. Next round will be a good series either way, and I hesitate to make the Magic a favorite against either team. Da Bulls are only getting better, and those young legs look a lot more spry than Paul Pierce passing up open 3's since he can't jump anymore.
Orlando hasn't played that well but the Magic are definitely a good bunch. I think that last win without Dwight could really fire them up. I expect a better looking team in Round 2.

Beasley forgot how to handle the ball and the reffing in that game was atrocious. Almost every single block/charge call was wrong and when Joey Crawford is getting more screen time than the players it makes for horrible basketball. Every game that series whatever team got ahead was protected by the refs when the other team was making a run, it was ugly to watch. So much happier with the Bulls/Celtics series.
Cavs should beat Atlanta is 6 at worst, same for Lakers over the Rockets though if it gets past 5 I'd be shocked.
I have no idea whats going to happen between Boston and Orlando.
Nuggets are going to roll the Mavericks, now that they are actually putting in effort on the defensive end that team is scary.

The Nuggets will give the Lakers a good series. They wont win but it will be very entertaining. Yeah, the reffing was bad but Miami's offense was worse. They should have taken care of business in Game 4.
If Atlanta wins more than one game against Cleveland, I will be stunned.

I wasn't just talking about game 7, even the games where Miami was winning if Atlanta started to make a run a call would go against them that was iffy at best and they would melt. Probably because they are both relatively young teams and you could see the calls affect them so much that I noticed the impact it had on the series.

Their defensive efforts this year have far exceeded any expectations. Dahntay Jones is a headache, K-Mart is just a bruiser (right, Dirk?), and Chris Andersen has been one of the best risk/reward value signings in a long time.
But the thing that was really encouraging yesterday was how the team responded without Melo. Yes, Chauncey and their improved D have made a huge difference, but it was a little nerve wracking to see Melo pick up four fouls with 6 minutes left in the first half. Nene took over, though, and Melo came out in the second half on a mission.
I wouldn't say they're over the hump yet, but this team is certainly playing a more mature, team-oriented game than they ever have since Melo was drafted. It's certainly fun right now.

Anyone catch Craig Sager's interview with Phil Jackson before the start of the fourth? It was great: He and asked Jackson what the Lakers had to do to continue dominating fourth quarters as they had against Houston all year. Jackson's response was pretty much:
"We have to keep you and your Bozo the Clown suit away from our bench, you're scaring my people. I mean, look at this thing."
I laughed a lot.

After one-tenth of a second has elapsed, how much time is left on the shot clock?

The shot clock should show 24 until a full second has elapsed. Therefore, after one tenth of a second, the shot clock should still say 24. Personally, I think they should have the shot clock configured to show tenths of a second. We have.....the technology.
When it is reset, the shot clock should have 24.0 seconds on it.

I didn't watch much of the halftime stuff, but I'm guessing they were talking about how much credit Dirk gave Martin, Andersen, and Nene for their defense on him in Game 1. They discussed it in the pregame stuff, too. Their point was that elite players shouldn't praise other players that much, but instead should have more of a "they can make me work, but they can't stop me" attitude.
I'm loving watching Denver close out games right now. That was something they struggled with pretty much all year.
