OT again?

Crazy.
keith crime
Wow they should just have them all run 6 miles and start the game at the first OT
Cappy37
Guys, this may be shocking, but a Celtic-Bull game just went into overtime.

And Ray Allen is shooting like it's circa 2000 and he's on NBA JAM and en feugo.

edit: and agree w/ Keith. This series is unbelievable.
keith crime
LOL screw this just have them decide this series with a tug of war

I think Boston would have kept that last lead if they would have left Glen Davis in - he was dominating the lane on offense and then they went cold when they took him out

those two free throw misses by Rondo that would have made the lead 10 would have helped too
I_fold08
zomg 5 more minutes smile.gif
keith crime
If they give Allen that 3 the fans may riot

Lol after that 3 Allen is definitely better than Reggie!
slt1der

lol. This series is crazy unbelievable.
I_fold08
prime example of why teams should foul while up three. i wonder why coaches absolutely refuse to do so. also im still taking reggie lol
slt1der
3OT? Sure, why not.
Suited_Up
JOAKIM NOAHHH!!!!
keith crime
Oh my God what a defensive breakdown and then he misses the layup? No f-ing way

Derek Rose: Wow I've played 59 minutes and I can still block a jumper

Sick game

You guys think you should get extra fouls for OTs or do you like seeing everyone foul out?
CaneBrain
someone get Rose a cookie and a ribbon. what a block.
slt1der
WOW. ROSE! And they say you don't play defense!
CaneBrain
this series deserved a Game 7.

i have a weird feeling game 7 will be a blowout though.
I_fold08
i dont care which team wins the series, just happy i am not a bulls or celtics fan so i can enjoy it
Suited_Up

when was the last time Boston lost a game 7 at home - it's been like decades right?

Outside of last season they haven't had a game 7 at home to lose in decades, though..

P.S. - Portland is the best comeback team in the NBA. Sadly, in order to "be that", it means we excel at falling behind by double digits needlessly. I need a Tums... This Houston series is killing me.

before last year wasnt is decades ago before they had a game 7 home game?
SuitedAces21
i'm pretty sure boston had a game 7 last year. but before that, i'm also pretty sure it had been decades.
CaneBrain
boston had two game 7s last year (Atlanta and Cleveland).
bigkg
I'm going to have a heart attack.
BigDMcGee
That was one of the most unbelievable games I've ever seen. Just mind boggling. Best series ever.
I_fold08
i hate when people make the argument of since it is only the first round it cant be the best ever

yeah.. part of it is the attention the series gets . Some people don't pay attention to the early round series, and it doesn't have the "importance "of an eastern confrence or NBA finals, so it won't get the attention it deserves.

Because you can lose the game, instead of worst case going to overtime.

I wouldn't mind getting one more foul each overtime. That's probably too drastic of a rule change though.

I can't wait for Game 7. It has to be a letdown after all this ridiculousness, right?

when it's all said and done after the playoffs are over most 'excellent' series get forgotten from the early rounds. however, 7 OTs in 6 games is historical so people will talk about this for a while.

I still think the Celtics will pull through somehow and there won't be another OT this time in Boston.

The problem with this game is that both teams are likely to get blown out next round, and are not title contenders ( in terms of how historic this series is remembered, I mean)

Hey, I'm a celtics fan but without KG we're basically freerolling these playoffs so I'm enjoying this immensely. It's actually a lot of fun watching guys like Rondo and Big Baby step up. And I somehow hate Noah less?

I don't know if Orlando is going to blow out either team actually. The Magic haven't exactly been brilliant thus far...especially against a 76ers team that was looking terrible heading into the playoffs.

Boston's obv not the same without KG but they had a solid record with Garnett out. Bulls look like they're getting better with every game. I don't see a 4-5 game series in Round 2 for Orlando.

I like Chicago to beat Orlando fairly easily if they get by Boston.

And Boston might be tired but they could do it, too. Orlando was not all that impressive in Round 1 against a crappy Sixers squad.
keith crime
I think Bill Simmons has been reading our thread

The great Ray Allen became a minus-130 favorite in the "Reggie Miller versus Ray Allen" argument and might have to change his name to "The Great Ray Allen."

If we only had a bench...

what is it, like 15 points the last two games in 8 quarters and 4 OT's?

Also, totally agree with the Noah thing. I haven't liked him since Florida won the championship, but he's really impressed me. Great energy while being in control at the same time. Tommy said last night he's perfect for a team that's trying to run a lot, and he really is. His hair and his face are still awful, but he's still been fun to watch. Also, Tyrus Thomas is a tremendous help defender...I've always known he was a great athlete, but he really doesn't let much get by in the paint. I assume he's a big reason Rondo stopped driving to the hole last night, which is unfortunate since it's been working great all series.

Lastly, Orlando isn't that good. Next round will be a good series either way, and I hesitate to make the Magic a favorite against either team. Da Bulls are only getting better, and those young legs look a lot more spry than Paul Pierce passing up open 3's since he can't jump anymore.
CaneBrain
blowout win for Miami. pretty predictable.

Wade looks healthy which = Hawks in trouble in Game 7.
I_fold08
pretty weird series, going into game 7 with not a single game being close
Poppy_Hillis
That intro was awesome.
GeneralGeeWhiz
let's go bulls.
keith crime
I think I'll be rooting bulls

my prediction Celtics 95 Bulls 92

Love watching all this action while LeBron and co are all lazing around in the Jacuzzi refreshing their legs

I think it's usually 50-50 teams with layoffs either come out rusty or on fire

This may not be true ever again, but I think the cavs have the eye of the tiger this year

I thought it was interesting that Noah said he and big baby have been friends since they were 17 and haven't said one word to each other the entire series

they'll probably be reminiscing together about it in ten years
keith crime
I don't care how good Derek Rose is, Brian Scalabrene if you are a center and you get stuffed by a rookie point gaurd in game 7 you should immediately shoot yourself!

It's not so much the team with the layoff, but with the team that comes right in to the next series with the same intensity. It usually takes a half for the team with the layoff to match it.

Although, it probably won't matter for the Cavs. I thought they might have a little problem with the Hawks, but after seeing them in the 1st rd, I don't see how it goes more than 5.
