Vinny Del Negro's steadfast refusal to double team Pierce.... FOR GOD'S SAKE GET THE BALL OUT OF HIS HANDS YOU MORON!......is a far worse coaching crime.
Was his nickname "The Microwave" because he is about as smart as your average kitchen appliance?
I honestly believe that Chicago wins this series if Doug Collins is coach. With Vinny, I dunno.
The Microwave was Vinny Johnson.
I like what VDN has done in this series for the most part. I HATE his demeanor on the sideline, however. This is still anybody's series. If I'm the Bulls I go a lot more mins with the 4 guards, the Celtics want no part of that lineup.

I was at the game tonight, I don't understand how the officiating can be that bad. I didn't get to see a whole lot of replays, but how does Ray Allen foul out, when no one else on the team has more than 2? Celtics are really putting together an amazing series...They got Tony Allen, Starbury, House, and Scalabrine off the bench, giving them NOTHING, the majority of the calls going against them, and Ben Gordon hitting almost every shot he takes, and they just keep plugging away. Down 11 in the 4th it looked bleak, and then Ray hits the 3 and fouls out and it looks just as bleak, but god damn if they don't play their ass off every night.
I was at the clinching game for the championship last year, but this game was just as scintillating to be at, at least from the 3rd quarter on. This has to be the best first round playoff series ever, right?
His 6th foul was a clear foul, in fact I don't know how it was a double foul on Miller. His 5th with the hold on the baseline usually isn't a foul, but a couple trips earlier the same call was made the other way, and Gordon went and told the officials he needs to get that call on his end. And he got it, that's the way things work.
