Paul and Wade are great players but LeBron just had one of the greatest playoff series of all time - how about some props?

Rondo's is better, how about you give him some. He is actually averaging a triple double.

And the 63 points is just pathetic, but like I said I didn't watch that game so I don't know how/why it happened.

They didn't make a lot of shots.

I didn't watch the nuggets-hornets game. but wow, 58 pt loss at home in a playoff game. any hornets fans in this thread care to comment

QUOTE (fleung22 @ Tuesday, April 28th, 2009, 1:48 AM) *
I think all 6 of them just committed suicide. that was one of the worst playoff performances I can think of in recent memory...particularly since the Hornets are exactly chopped liver.

lol. i watched the highlights last night and I was in shock. looooooooooool 58 freaking points.

Aldridge is day-to-day and banged up, plus Roy is puking his guys out with the dreaded "Flu Like Symptoms".

So ummm.. yeah.. I'm not about to cast stones at the Hornets cuz there's about a 5% chance Portland could be short a couple key cogs tomorrow... and it could get real, real ugly.

hopefully he doesn't have the Swine flu. ohmy.gif

I will seriously consider this if they aren't ridiculously priced.

My buddy is the one that deals with unloading the tix, and the last time I talked to him he was letting them go for $200-$250. You'd have to get all 3 also, unless it's for one of the games next rd that I'm going to. I'm driving back to San Diego from Kansas and planning on stopping in Denver for a couple hours to go to whatever game is closest to May 15. Anyway, just PM me if you're interested in a game.

holy shit, what a great series.

Also.. LOL MARBURY. What a weird time for the guy to get nerves and refusing to shoot. The guy's whole career has been built on taking bad shots, and now he's passing up good ones.

When you spend that much time in the doghouse the spotlight regained is blinding

And another - oh god Ben nooooo -- Yeah nice shot!

Gotta say Pierce is so money

As much as I love Ben Gordon and all the ridiculous shots he makes, I still hate the fact that him taking these ridiculous shots is the only end of game play they run.

Vinny Del Negro's steadfast refusal to double team Pierce.... FOR GOD'S SAKE GET THE BALL OUT OF HIS HANDS YOU MORON!......is a far worse coaching crime.

Was his nickname "The Microwave" because he is about as smart as your average kitchen appliance?

I honestly believe that Chicago wins this series if Doug Collins is coach. With Vinny, I dunno.

This is the reason I hope he doesn't get re signed.

I was at the game tonight, I don't understand how the officiating can be that bad. I didn't get to see a whole lot of replays, but how does Ray Allen foul out, when no one else on the team has more than 2? Celtics are really putting together an amazing series...They got Tony Allen, Starbury, House, and Scalabrine off the bench, giving them NOTHING, the majority of the calls going against them, and Ben Gordon hitting almost every shot he takes, and they just keep plugging away. Down 11 in the 4th it looked bleak, and then Ray hits the 3 and fouls out and it looks just as bleak, but god damn if they don't play their ass off every night.

I was at the clinching game for the championship last year, but this game was just as scintillating to be at, at least from the 3rd quarter on. This has to be the best first round playoff series ever, right?

The Microwave was Vinny Johnson.

I like what VDN has done in this series for the most part. I HATE his demeanor on the sideline, however. This is still anybody's series. If I'm the Bulls I go a lot more mins with the 4 guards, the Celtics want no part of that lineup.

His 6th foul was a clear foul, in fact I don't know how it was a double foul on Miller. His 5th with the hold on the baseline usually isn't a foul, but a couple trips earlier the same call was made the other way, and Gordon went and told the officials he needs to get that call on his end. And he got it, that's the way things work.

You're right, it hasn't been a physical series where Gordon and Allen are manhandling each other...The opening set Gordon was pushing Ray with both hands. Hell, the opening five minutes the refs didn't make a single call, including an egregious hack on Tyrus Thomas that's a foul in every street game in the hood. The officiating is horrible inconsistent, and that's what bothers most people. Just make the same calls all game long, and there won't be a problem. They don't call moving picks the same, they don't call all the clutching and grabbing on the 2's the same, and they don't call stuff in the paint the same. It's kind of stupid.

It was a clear foul on Miller who was holding him on the screen and he was just trying to get free. That's an embarrassing way to remove a player from a game.

This.

I just watched the replay, and the officiating was terrible on both ends as Theraflu said. Must be the only time Perk has ever managed 7 blocks and 0 fouls. Noah impresses me more every game but I think Ben Gordon really needs to learn the game of basketball. "Hmm, 1 second between the shot and game clock, tie game, I've lost my dribble and been trapped...what to do...SHOOOOOOOOOOT!"

Rondo IS playing some fantastic basketball but his numbers are inflated from all the extra minutes from how many overtime periods now? 3? 4??

He would be closer to a triple double without the overtimes than Lebron was against the Pistons. He is putting up numbers in games that are actually contended, not just stocking up numbers against a team who didn't look like they even wanted to be in the playoffs.

I'm glad I'm not a Piston fan, I'd be so pissed at the total lack of effort from that team.

Lebron also isn't playing the entire games against Detroit, 'cause they are blowing them away. Games 3 and 4 at home where shameful for detroit. I've never seen a clearer quit job.
CaneBrain
Maybe the Pistons quit because they realized that effort was futile. They got stomped. Not sure effort was the problem.

Cavs are head and shoulders above everyone in the East right now. That is all.

I loved the response from the TNT crew too. I don't get why the NBA would rather have those ESPN studio guys hosting the finals instead of EJ, Jet, Chuck, and C-Webb. Hell, they should throw in Payton and Ahmad Rashad too. I'd watch that.

Cav's are a better team than the Heat. When your 2nd and 3rd best options are rookies (and Beasley looks like he is playing scared) that team isn't going deep into the playoffs.

He came down on the dude's head after blocking a shot.

Very nice to see the Nuggets advance. They're playing well, but New Orleans wasn't close to 100% healthy. Still, winning four games by at least 15 and losing one by 2 has to be good for your confidence. The Nuggets took care of Dallas in the regular season, but they were some pretty close games and the Mavs are playing very well right now, too. Should be a fun series.

I am sadly going to have to agree with this. When Wade is off/hobbled, they are a nightmare to watch. Game 4 was painful. No fluidity. Beasley looks lost (they should start him he plays better when he starts). Jermaine Oneal moves around like a mummy.

Painful.....to.....watch.

Of course, if wade is healthy, they are not so bad.

Ya their response was great. I bet we never see GP on TNT again as long as Kenny is still there. The last time he was there he undermined everything Kenny said, and him and Charles kinda ganged up on him and you could see the disgust in Kenny's face. I almost felt bad for him that it was happening on national television.

Egos at work.

What I want to know is, why is Magic over at the ESPN weird looking coffee table sitting next to Jon Barry? I distinctly remember Magic at last year's WCF with Kobe and the Inside the NBA crew.

Oh, and please interview Ron Ron more. Throw Shaq in there as well.
