The story is that I Joined a Fantasy Baseball league, that doesn't cost any money. Its free to the public. I set up my draft date so I would be off work, out of school and would be able to do my draft. Problem was that I got called into work that night after I was leaving school. No internet at work, so my fantasy team was Auto picked for me. I'm in a H2H league. I have some good players, but who would you consider getting rid of?

I have looked at the waiver wire, and nothing really is appealing, and the other 9 teams really haven't put anyone on the trading block yet, so it seems for now I'm stuck with this team, and will probably get killed in my league.

My team goes:

C: Chris Snyder
1B: Aubrey Huff
2B: Mark Ellis
3B: Evan Longoria
SS: Jimmy Rollins
2B/SS: J.J. Hardy
1B/3B: Chipper Jones
OF: Curtis Granderson
OF: Johnny Damon
OF: Andre Ethier
OF: Ken Griffey Jr.
OF: Jose Guillen
Util: Mike jacobs
Bench: David DeJesus

Pitchers:

SP: CC Sabathia
SP: Brandon Webb
SP: Ervin Santana
SP: Zack Greinke
SP: Max Scherzer
RP: B.J. Ryan
RP: Francisco Corderno
SP/RP: Hong-Chih Kuo
RP: Joey Devine

Bench:
SP: Tim Wakefield
SP/RP: J.P. Howell

Have alot of work too do.

I spent 45 minutes breaking down every player for you. i had about 4 chapters of work. I accidentally clicked the refresh button, im sorry.... how about you ask me about a certain player that you are questionable about and ill break him down.

Geez man, you didn't have to spend all that time on that lol.

Players I'm questionable about:

Aubrey Huff
Mark Ellis
J.J. Hardy
Chris Snyder

The rest of the players I have a clue on who they are, what there projections are, what they did last season and etc....

I don't think my pitching is too bad. Could be worse.

your pitching is good. Ellis is the one that is most in question imo. he hasnt played any games in the spring games, and Oakland goes kinda deep at 2nd, It would be hard for you to get anything for him at this time, if he starts hot you MIGHT be able to package him.

JJ Hardy is improving every year. His stats run solid throughout, the only problem is that Brewers prob wont be able to get him home, or get runners on base for his RBI stat.

Snyder is blah, but then again C doesnt run as deep this year.... my advice, keep an eye on Kurt Suzuki from Oakland, up and coming, young, and will play every day. with Oaklands new team, Kurt should THRIVE.... (Package and trade snyder to improve 2nd base and pick up Kurt at C)

Get Guillen out of there, he is high risk high reward, BUT the high risk WILL catch up to him this year....

Cool Cool, thanks for the advice, that helps.

Catcher is way deeper this year than others

Without knowing what's available on your waiver wire, I can't really recommend people for you to pick up. But, I'd recommend you see if there is anything better at 2B than Mark Ellis and at 1B than Aubrey Huff. You got screwed on those two.

Also, you don't have to wait until people put players "on the trading block." Just look at the other teams, asess your needs, look for who might have a surplus at that position and try to find a way you can match up, and offer a deal. For instance, you need a 2nd baseman, see if anybody has a couple of decent ones, but needs help at some position you're a little deeper at and make an offer. Just start making trade offers and see what happens.

First baseman question.

Who should I start? Mike Jacobs, Aubrey Huff, or Casey Kotchman? And who at that position should I trade or drop?
3A
Aubrey Huff would be my starter.

Jacobs is horrible, in my opinion he gets you some homeruns with a pretty bad BA and no speed, if you could trade him in a package deal send him away. He had some people on base in front of him in FLA albeit not a ton, KC offense just doesn't scream add a 25HR player with a .240BA and watch me produce. If possible Gaby Sanchez or whoever wins the 1b job in SF are both servicable options. I'm about as thrilled with your choices at the position as I'm sure you are.

Well my team was Auto-picked for me since I had to work the night of my Draft. I got called in. Ive also been told my 2B man Mark Ellis is horrible, but the best option on the waiver wire is Iwamura. No luck on trading Ellis.

Don't try to trade Ellis. Look for a position of depth on your team that you can trade from and find someone with a good 2B that you can make an offer for. Look for needs that matchup. You don't have to trade your 2B in order to get one. You can always drop Ellis if you're able to get a replacement.
