The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. TO/Evans/Lynch is a lethal combination, just seems really random place for TO to go. I mean, who was the last big name free agent to go to Buffalo?
Lynch will probably start next season suspended for several games. So they REALLY needed to add something to the offense.
One year deal = non-risky move with upside.
I think Rosenhaus understood that the market for his client was crap. Probably hoping TO will behave for a year, perform well and trick some poor team into giving him a 3 year deal next offseason. Plus being opposite Evans should limit the double coverage on TO.
I think all sides made smart decisions here.
