The last episode was pretty good. It was the first one, that I thought I might really enjoy this show.

Renewed for 13 more episodes next season - let's just hope that the studio heads leave Whedon alone this time.

Also, I wonder if that means that Fox will show the last episode at some point.

Everything I've read says it's still going to be a DVD only bonus in the US.

Also possible casting for season 2 looks like more Firefly alumni may be joining...

Joss Whedon told Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello that he's trying to get his former Firefly star Summer Glau on Fox's Dollhouse in its second season, but not in a role you might expect.

"Summer would be perfect to play an active, but she's done that [type of role] a lot," Whedon told Ausiello. "I'd rather see her play someone who talks too much. The most fun I have is when I get somebody who's good and comfortable at doing something, and then I make them do something else. Summer said to me, 'I would like to play a normal girl before I die of extreme old age.'"

Whedon has wanted to bring Glau into the fold since before her last series, Fox's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, was canceled. "If anybody thinks [bringing Summer onto Dollhouse] hasn't occurred to me already, then they have not met me," he says. "I mentioned it to her before [SCC] was canceled. I was like, 'You know, we should get you in the 'house.' But first we have to come up with something that works." Dollhouse returns in the fall.

So, does this show suck or not? Wondering if I should bother.

The first 5 or so episodes are a little hit and miss because Fox wanted people to be able to jump into the series late, but once the major plots start moving forward it gets pretty good. If you not interested after episode 7 or so there isn't much there for you.

Enjoyable first episode but they really jumped right into the plot. No favors for any new viewers as it would have helped me to watch the season 1 DVD to remind myself of what was going on.

Whedon must like to hire as many Battlestar Galactica and Buffy/Angel alums as he possibly can. I've also read that Summer Glau of Terminator will be on this year as well.

I'd say this last episode was the best Dollhouse yet. The show really seems to be finding its footing.

I'm just worried we're never going to have any real closure to any of it - can't see it getting a 3rd season if it's not gaining huge numbers.

I haven't watched the latest episode yet, but thanks to the shitty timeslot you can almost guarantee Fox is going to cancel the show to show Glee reruns.
El Guapo
I have pretty much stopped watching. The first 2 episodes were pretty boring to me, my wife is still watching it, so if she has it on I may catch a few minutes here and there, but that is about it.
