Every so often you're going to find yourself in one of these situations. You've got an ace with a nothing kicker, but what are you going to do if no one raises your blind? Now you've hit top pair...that's not nothing (but it could be a trap situation).

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, 2+0.25 Tournament, 20/40 Blinds (7 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

UTG (t1055)
UTG+1 (t1385)
MP1 (t1360)
MP2 (t2943)

Hero's M: 25.00

Preflop: Hero is BB with 3, A
UTG calls t40, 5 folds, SB calls t20, Hero checks

Flop: (t120) 9, J, A (3 players)
SB bets t80, Hero...?

It seems like i would be a little bit more worried about UTG than the SB. I would prolly call and re evaluate the turn.

I would probably call. And dump from an UTG 3-bet or another huge SB bet on the turn. He's showing he might have an Ax also. For some reason people think its smart to slow play AK/AQ UTG at these small stakes.

I'll move it along to the river since I don't think the turn will be controversial:

Flop: (t120) 9, J, A (3 players)
SB bets t80, Hero calls t80, UTG calls t80

Turn: (t360) 4 (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG checks

River: (t360) 3 (3 players)
SB checks, Hero...?

I didn't like the third diamond on the turn, and I wonder if someone's trapping with a flush. Still, I've now got aces up--not a bad hand. Bet it or go for a check call?

River: (t360) 3 (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets t200, UTG raises to t935 (All-In), SB calls t935, Hero folds

Total pot: t2430

Anyone call this? I just didn't figure I could possibly have both of them beat. Not sure what I would have done had SB folded...probably a crying call.
