Full Version: Pvt Rocks!

Paul Brevard
This will probably be the one of the last times I post here since I will be spending all my time on the Pokervt forum so I just want to leave you with this.

PVT is on the move! After some bumps along the way, the road is smoothing out. As the most successful student, many of you might have heard a few of my concerns about the direction things were going. It seemed like the site that I once loved was starting to slow down and maybe even give in to the naysayers. No doubts now. I am proud to be the Pokervt poster child again! They are determined to make this site work and not only that, they are determined to make this the easiest and most successful site out there.

I know things were seeming to slow down a bit, but this new crew is making huge strides in making this a successful site and Daniels new material ROCKS!

I went onto the site and asked if there was anyway that we could play SNG's with the pros and have them check the play out. That was earlier in the week. Friday night, it was in play!

I want to send out the top praise to Nick Rainey. As we say in Texas, he took the bull by the horns and headed north. He placed a bounty on his head, and gave extra money to the top finishers. We are having a weekly SNG now and he's taking the time to analyze our play.

We are having tons of new material and Daniel has placed a crew of new pros that are anxious to do whatever it takes to make the site a success.

I am confident in saying that if anyone out there doesn't believe PVT is the real deal, I'll match my results over the last year with anyone that has played as long as I have. Someone asked me a while back if I would give all credit to PVT for my success. I'll said that I would give all credit to PVT and the strat forum there. Now with the addition of the Pokervt forum, I am moving toward being a player that can be competitive anywhere. Cash, Live, whatever.

If anyone would tell me a year ago that I would win 20 tournaments, be a successful live cash player, have people ask me to coach them (and have them be successful also), and be a force in NL Holdem, I would have told them that they had the wrong man. I was far from being a poker player. I was the guy that people wanted at their table. Dead money!

After people saw me with Daniel, they wanted to take me out to prove something. I had guys that didn't like Daniel, not like me. I had hate emails telling me that PVT was crap, had guys threaten me after knocking them out, and had to cancel one of my emails because of all the trash. I even had guys tell me that I was just a fan and not a real player, even after winning seats to the WSOP ME. Sorry to inform those guys and Daniel, but Daniel was far from my fav. Ivey, Brunson, and Harmon were my favs. I just read his book and things started clicking for me. I was kinda regretting being on the rawvegas thing after everyone targeted me that saw it.

Then I stepped back and counted my blessings. Yes, it did bring a few bad things out but most of the guys that hated PVT had never truly tried it or ever signed up. Now when guys bash me, I smile because I know they are either pissed at the world, dislike Daniel for no reason, or wished they were a successful poker player instead of the donk I use to be. I apologize if that sounds arrogant, but it has increased my confidence. A year ago, I was a donk and after PVT I have trained players, won almost 20 tournaments, have friends that are major pros contact me about home games, and no one ever calls me DEAD MONEY anymore. Since PVT, I have not gone broke.

In no way am I saying that I am a great poker player. I am saying this. A year ago, if I walked into a room and saw Phil Helmuth, Matasow, Ivey, Negreanu, Brunson, or anyone of that caliber playing a game, I would want to watch and enjoy. I am way to conservative with my money and would never just throw it away on a whim. Now I would want to play because I feel that I would be competitive with anyone. I am not saying that I would take the table down, but I am saying that I wouldn't be the mark for long. THAT is the difference it has made in me. That's not arrogance, that's just a fact that was created due to PVT.

If you want to be a player that not only dreams of playing against Phil Helmuth or guys like him but actually does, make it a reality. If you are serious about poker, I am sure that you have lost more in a night than the startup and a year of PVT would cost you. Sign up and you will not be sorry, if you TRULY study and use the system. The guys that bash the site usually only watch a video once and move on and then say that they didn't succeed.

I will even go this far. If you can prove that you signed up for PVT and have not had success with it, I will send you my email through PM and will personally coach you and find out the reasons you are not winning. That comes from a guy that receives no money from PVT. I just owe everything I have accomplished in poker to PVT and believe that I owe Daniel, Alex Outhred, JCarver, Adam, Paul, JC, Annette and now Nick all I can to see the site succeed. I believe in it that much.

Say what you want, PVT is going to be one of the greatest sites out there within a year.

Good luck everyone and make yourself a New Years resolution. Play better poker and learn it at Pokervt!

Praise the lord!

Put out the bait and the FISH will bite.
Dip, thanks for showing everyone out there the reasoning behind PVT forming their own private forum! Thanks Dip. I owe you one.

Dip is a great example of why you need to sign up for PVT. This poor devil didn't and is still upset about a bad beat from earlier this year.

Tell ya what dipstick, I'll even coach you for free so you'll stop whining and start winning.

Get over it man.

Dipstick is a great example. Be warned though. After signing on to PVT and becoming a better poker player, you'll have fish like him that can't afford PVT come after ya. Just remember. They don't want you to sign up because it puts them further back in the food chain. They depend on people that are just playing at poker. See, Dip is like so many out there that just sign onto a forum and think they will become better players by osmosis.

Don't get me wrong, the strat forum here is wonderful. I have learned a ton from it. I encourage everyone to watch that forum closely. There are a lot of players here that have taught me a lot also. Loosh, BigD, (believe it or not) Dutch, man there are so many sources here that can teach you and are willing to PM you advice.

Make friends of the true players here, and blow off the fish like Dip and you'll gain endless amounts of knowledge. Because of my results though, I have to include that you sign up for PVT. I have to give at least 90% of my success to PVT. Hell, even Dip has taught me to learn patience and not to go on tilt. I told Daniel that guys like Dip really got on my nerves. He said that you'll find guys like that on forums and at the tables. Learn from it.

I want you to learn from it too. You're going to have political foes, people at work, dips on forums, and people throughout life try to put you in your place because they hate the success you're having in business or in life. Use that patience that you practice in life and take it to the table. When that guy that continues to move all in and laugh because you don't call or that guy next to you calls with K7 off and sucks out, sit back and realize that life is full of donks that hate seeing other succeed. They just can't help it, but you can.

Believe it or not, you saved me a tournament the other day dip. I was sitting there with JJ and made a raise. This guy that was three to my left went all in everytime that I would raise, no matter what. The two guys next to me called my raise and the donk went all in again and grinned at me. I knew the guy next to me was going to call but I didn't know about the other guy. I thought about dip and a few others that bashed me and put me on tilt a few times in this forum. I folded the JJ and the two guys next to me called the all in. One had AA and the other had KK. The donk had Q 7 off. He flopped the Q, and the aces held up. He had me and the others out chipped so h e would have taken the last of my my money and I would have been pisssed the rest of the evening. As he was leaving a couple of hands later, I gave him the same little grin. When I won the tournament I was thinking about all the times I would have moved all in just to see if I could bust the jerk and be mad the rest of the evening how they sucked out. I still have a few evenings when guys suckout, of course, but I have avoided many situations like that because of dip and dips like him.

Kudos Dip. You're a lesson of your own.

Just for the record you always refer to some hand or bad beat we were involved in. We never played poker together and it only makes me smile at your weak attempt to act condesending to an event that never took place. Its simply from your posts that I find you are a superficial idiotic person.

I'm a deuces cracked man and would love to try out PVT, but the fact the people running this actually think its a smart idea to use you to help their business, means I will never hand over a cent to this already questionable product.

Now, enjoy your new forum puppet.

So anyone who criticizes/irritates you is a fish?

Oh, I forgot about you for a minute there T. Another great example of someone that has nothing better to do. Unlike Dip, I have never understood why you joined in, unless dip is your significant other or maybe you are dip.

Forgot to thank you for the lesson too.

Thanks for the send off!

Good luck in micro.
