Holy crap, his little xmas spectacular opening was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen on TV, and part of the reason I still love Conan after all these years. No talk show on TV is willing to be that bizarre

It's not so much him that I love, as it is his writing team, which is top notch. He's fine, but his writers are fcking awesome, and he has the best skits of all the late night hosts by far ( with kimmel being the second best, i suppose)

Craig's actually probably my favorite host, though I like Conan's show better, due to the writing/star quality. But I think that craig is naturally funnier than any of the late night hosts ( Letterman in his prime is a whole other animal, for the record. In his late late show days, he was the best there has ever been)

On a scale of 1 to 10, Leno gets like a 3, Letterman gets a 4, and Conan gets maybe a 9, or a 10 for the old Andy Richter days.

I like Conan better because he seems to improvise more.... even if it is something the writers wrote Conan makes it seem like its his own.

Leno seems to me like he is really great at memorizing jokes, and that is it. Some of the stuff he talks to his guests about are retarded. I know in all talk shows they talk to the guest about what they want to talk about, but Leno makes it so obvious. It's painful listening to famous actors trying to tell stupid stories to Jay.

Leno does has great writers which is why it gets ratings, but I can't stand him. I'll watch Conan, Letterman, and Kimmel before I watch Leno.

(edit) The Conan I'm watching is like 4 years old. He was making jokes about the show Joey and the last summer olympics.

The when Conan thought that he was going to be "the man" to watch on NBC. He's still going to have to air his show after Leno, and the news, and most people will turn off their TV's before Conan starts:

I used to think the same thing, but you just have to give it a chance and start understanding that humor, then you'll see the light.

He's much more entertaining to watch. Most people watch the other shows for the guests, but Conan can have terrible guests and it's still decent to watch. When I do watch, it's mostly for the parts before the guests anyway. Not so much with anyone else though.

You must be blind, deaf and retarded. There is nobody...and I mean NOBODY, that is even close to Conan's level. Conan is better than Leno or Letterman have ever, ever been and it's not even remotely close. There's a reason they were pretty much bumping Leno to keep Conan from leaving NBC..Conan is that good. Leno is okay (Letterman is just awful....), but he's just not on Conan's level.

funny that they gave Conan exactly what he wanted and almost pissed off Leno in the process but they found a way to make him happy and have possibly screwed over Conan in the process. Conan wanted the show to not only have the timeslot but to "be the guy". they've given him the slot but he's not their guy. that's still leno. Conan can't do shit about it though. maybe I'm looking at this wrong and they've given both of them a win-win.

Conan is easily the best host on TV right now. In their primes, Letterman was really really good, but I would still probably like to watch Conan. Paul is just really a good compliment to Letterman so it makes it close. Right now

They showed another Christmas re-run tonight and it was awesome. Jim Carrey sang a punk rock version of Silent Night, lol.

Letterman is still the man. Most of you guys probably only really care about the skits, and in that department, Conan wins, but Letterman is still the best interviewer of the bunch by far. His interviews often make the news the next day.

I can buy that, I suppose. I just care so little about the interviews, that it doesn't add much to my over all score. I liked Dave's NBC days better when he was much more biting and mean than he is now. He's still better than most of them.

Letterman is showing his age more and more....aznd has dulled down a lot. The only thing hes still got are his top ten lists.

I was never into Leno. I watched Letterman almost every night before he had his heart problems. I would have to say that Conan is the best host of late night shows. Jimmy Kimmel show is almost impossible to watch.

Let me preface this by saying I don't watch late night talk shows all that much anymore. After Letterman moved to CBS and Richter left Conan I kind of gave up. After reading BigD's statement about Craig I decided to watch his monologue and opening bit last night. He is a very likable host and his style seems to have a anarchistic or free-wheeling sensibility in his presentation.

Yeah, that's what I like. He's not really like the other hosts, he has a very odd style, that's a bit off putting at first, but I've grown to like.

Conan's the reason that I got so little sleep and was late to school so often during junior high and highschool.

Leno is gawd awful

When I wasn't sleeping, I watched a decent amount of Craig Ferguson, and he was the best in the biz. He just cracked me up and he didn't pull punches with his guests, and my personal fav, in his monologue, he called David Caruso a "ginger little bitch"

YES!!!!!!!!!!! that's HUGE!. Conan w/ Andy is going to slaughter, I can't wait! Though, it does say that he will not be reprising his role as "sidekick" but instead will be taking part in prerecorded and live bits. I wish they'd put him on the couch, Ed MacMahon style ( or old andy richter style)





He actually left to star in his own tv show ( the andy richter show, I believe). Terrible mistake.

My favorite late night show used to be Craig Kilborn's version of whatever his show was called.

Back in those days, I'd watch Letterman and then Kilborn, but Craiggers was easily my favorite.

For whatever reason, I couldn't get into Conan, but it might have been just because he was opposite Kilby.

Once Kilborn left, I really didn't like Craig Ferguson, so I started getting into Conan a lot more, and now I can't stop watching. There are no shows that I'll watch every night or every week, etc, but if I'm ever in front of the TV at the time when Conan is on, I'm 100% going to watch it, whether it's a repeat or not.

Leno is meh, for whatever reason I watch him over Letterman if I watch the earlier late night show, I'm not really sure why. They're both kinda meh now.

And as for Saturday's, I still really like SNL.

Oh man, you would have loved conan during the richter days, zach.. during college (96-00) it was must see tv for me.
