Full Version: How To Play Ace Rag Hands On Ace High Dry Flops

This hand is kinda weird and I know there are a few things that I did "wrong" in it. When I flop an ace, I also tend to like to be the aggressor to see if I am ahead on the flop since I'm paying half as much then. I also realize that most of you guys don't open limp from UTG. I also don't do this but I hit call instead of raise while 3 tabling by accident. I'm trying to apply some aggression PF after reading the Stox/Zobags book which is why I'm playing A3cc here. Does anyone do this different?

PokerStars Limit Hold'em, $0.20 BB (5 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 3 icon_suit_club.gif, A icon_suit_club.gif
Hero calls, 2 folds, SB calls, BB checks

Flop: (3 SB) 8 icon_suit_heart.gif, 4 icon_suit_spade.gif, A icon_suit_heart.gif (3 players)
SB checks, BB bets, Hero raises, 2 folds

Total pot: $0.50 (2.5 BB) | Rake: $0.02

And while this hand seems less interesting now that I go back and look at it, say we're in the CO with A3cc on an overcall to an UTG open limp. What is your flop play if UTG bets into you?

Once we see that flop, a raise is okay since we're 3-way, though I'll frequently call and bet/pop most any turn. But yeah, don't open-limp pre.

3-handed like this example? Probably about the same.
