I just found out that I got a bonus this year. Just wondering with the recession in force if there are others that got one, or just got the shaft.

Our company model is mostly commission based and has performance based monthly and quarterly bonuses. So technically I only got a $50 Best Buy card as my "Christmas bonus". But really I got $6500 in bonuses throughout the year.

Funny because you do work for GM or Ford ... or funny because it's funny.

don't work for either one (or any car company or related company), but there is a kinda relation there. can't say what. just funny to me though.

I just got a bartenders set gift and a $500 bonus that I was not expecting. So that was nice.

Especially since our companies assets under management have depleted by almost 30 million in the 6 months I have been here.

I just got $500 and a $50 supermarket gift card. Not bad considering I get my sales bonus in a few weeks for the 4th quarter.

We get our bonuses in March. They call them STI's (short term incentives.) I was slated to get $1000 last year but we got paid 153% of our bonus which was awesome. This year, it is based on my salary. If we meet our targets I get 8% of my salary but a third of it will be in company stock that I have to hold for a year. With the economy, I would normally say we will not meet our targets but since we will merge with another company next year I have a feeling that the big brass will find a way to put on paper that we met it. $4800 (well $3200 if you don't count the stock) will be nice in the spring.
