Probably because all the really good NL players never post anymore and any newbs are getting their advice from pokervt, CRs, DCd and so on.

This is what I was going to say. You think training sites have a big part in the slow forums?
I see 27 topics that have been talked in here since the 24th. I wouldn't call that dead. Also, if you guys would make more fun titles, I'd comment more. Honestly, I think NL Challenge took a lot of traffic, but I'm appreciative any time some of their regulars come by and post in here. I suppose I haven't posted a hand in a while...mostly cause I barely play anymore.
