Ive been at this table for 45 mins or so, villian has been playing quite tight, hasnt shown any hands down yet. Is this an instacall, im thinking AA & KK doesnt shove here, just makes a small reraise to get action??? Is there any argument for folding here without a solid read on the player?

Very tight?
No hands in 45 minutes at showdown?
Find a fold.

Full ring tables scare me because of the nittiness. I think this is very rarely JJ and lower. That means your crushed and sometimes flipping. I agree with folding.

Well that makes me feel a little better. I did actually fold the hand after almost all my time bank had elapsed. But then after going through it in my head i was thinking why would AA or KK make that play, and i started thinking i made a donkey move and shouldve called. Good to know my first instinct was the right one.

I wouldnt say that its a insta call but i do think its a call in the end. The fact that he has been playing pretty tight for the last 45 min scares me but not that much. Your raise came from a good steal position, and if hes seen you do it at all before he could find it profitable to shove here with a fairly wide range. I agree that the fact that its so big makes AA and KK less likely making it even better.

AA/KK most certainly goes all-in here.

He raised from early position and you reraised him.

He has every reason to believe you have a strong hand.

And no one else is left in the pot.

And he's out of position.

I'm pushing here and hoping you have AK/KK/QQ...hands you should have if you're reraising a tight player's early position raise.

Yeah this is kind of where I landed.

Fold
lots of people are uncomfortable playing oop, and a lot are uncomfortable playing big pairs post flop...that's why they just shove it in
fold and be happy about it...

and fwiw...I'd rather 3bet to 5.50ish pre

Yeah my initial reaction was "this guy has AA" which is why i folded. It was only after i started re-analyzing the hand in my head i started doubting my decision, which unfortunately lead me to going against my instincts for the rest of the session making a couple of bad calls.
