HERO - Raises $6.50 to $6.50

This is to $6.50 straight, right? What's your thought process behind this bet size?

Why are you raising the flop if you're not sure what to do if you get 3 bet?

I'm asking what you would do.

smooth call flop donk, evaluate turn action/card

raise/fold flop

lean towards smooth call unless i know he does this with draws

As played I fold with little hesitation. The donkbet is either a weaker hand testing you or a stronger hand hoping you'll play back at him. When he 3-bets you have to assume the latter. What are you ahead of there? AT? Meanwhile you're behind AQ, AK, A4, A6, 44, 66.

And your raise to $6.50 is way too small - gotta raise big enough to take down the pot right there.

I dont dislike the raise actually. Once 3bet its a snap fold unless u have a read on him that wasnt mentioned

Is there any reason the villain shouldn't 3-bet his whole range? That is, should he be afraid of you minraising a hand that you're willing to stack off with on the flop?

Not raise the flop. If I raised the flop It'd prob be because I'm calling a shove. Since you don't know what to do, you should be folding.

I raise that to 9 if I'm raising. But yeah, let it go at the 4 bet and note it. I'm a fan of raising donk bets. Calling w aj there's cool too. B/C I chicken out w/ exactly aj quite often. Pot control goot

What about calling the Flop Donk , Bet/Raise Turn?

I think we find out more about the villain's hand on the turn Vs the flop w/ a raise. Lets us get value from a draw on the turn if he's willing to call, and we can confidently fold if he comes over the top.
