Okay, so I'm in Canada and we don't always get all the shows you guys do in the U.S., mainly the cable shows.
In the last few weeks/months, I've downloaded and enjoyed the hell out of IASI Philly, Psych and 30 Rock (yes, i know it's NBC, just never saw it on TV before)
I see most of the HBO stuff (and some Showtime) on our movie network up here (like Oz, Entourage, Dexter, Trueblood).
I've heard good things about Weeds, Burn Notice and The Wire.
Any other series I may have missed that are worth checking out?

When I saw the thread title I thought of Oz, but you already watched it. I really enjoyed the first two seasons at least.

I don't care what anyone says... I like 24 if you haven't seen it yet.
Should I assume you've seen The Office?
I just this past year or so started watching 2 and a half men, and it's one of the funniest shows ever. I still don't watch the new ones, but I catch the reruns almost every day.
I liked Journeyman while it lasted, but now that it's cancelled, why bother?
CSI and CSI:Miami are fun for me. David Caruso is the best thing on TV, lol.
I can't think of what else right now.
I was gonna leave off the more reality type stuff, but lemme just do a quick list if you haven't seen them:
Ghost Hunters
Ultimate Fighter
Into the Unknown
Digging for the Truth
Biggest Loser
Top Chef
Hell's Kitchen

CSI's get too formulaic for me. Watched the original for a few years. Not into the ghost stuff.
As for The Office, I loved the few episodes of the British original, but I'm not a fan of the comedy style like The Office and Curb Your Enthusiasm that plays on awkward and uncomfortable situations. I find CYE unwatchable.

Fair enough. But I do like the office.
The other ones, like Into the Unknown and Digging for the truth, are the same show basically, same host, but they apparently cancelled Digging, and moved channels and gave it a new name. But it's kind of an archaeology type show, it's good stuff. PMJ watches them too, lol.

Add a vote for "The Wire" from me.
For me:
Recently watched all the The Wire.
Right now, on The Sopranos (3/4 done with season 2), Arrested Development (15 or 16 into Season 1) and The Office (finished season 1).
Next, I'm thinking Rescue Me. From the first 5-6 I watched, seems like a great show.

Without looking too much at the other responses these are recent shows that I have started watching or have finally finished or caught up.
Weeds through season 3 ( i don't have showtime)
Dexter through season 2
West Wing. Rewatching again for the 3rd time and on the first disc of season 6.
Sopranos. In the last season I think on the fourth disc of the first part of season 6.
How I met Your Mother. Caught up now that the 3rd season just released on DVD and I had all the season 4 eps on the dvr.
Bones. Halfway through season 3 and all of this season waiting for us on the DVR
Firefly. 13 episodes and a movie of pure awesomeness
House. never been behind on that one. great show but I think hard to watch a bunch in one sitting. They are a all the same formula but it works for them but I don't think so when watched 5 straight.
The Wire. I have yet to start this one yet but soon.
Arrested Development. great show
News Radio. Great show, it's got a canadian in it!
Mad Men season one is now out and that is supposed to be good.

In the OC, season three, when Marrissa dies, a part of me is happy to see her dead. Her countless mistakes and emotional instability had held Ryan back for 2 and a half years. But there is something to be said for the Devil you know. Yes I dislike her passionately, and her sister was hotter, but she had been in every episode and when a character that has been integralto the show dies, even if you are happy to see them go, you cry. you cry tears tht are 72% joy and 28% sadness. i think what got me was as Ryan carried her limp body from the wreckage, they flashed back to him carrying her comatose body from the street to the pool house, and her drugged out body from the alley in Tijuana. That got to me. I'd have chosen a different song, or at least a better version of the one they did choose. But alas, they didnt consult me. On to Season 4, and further DRAMA.
