Found a cream puff.

2006-1/2 - 330i. 17K miles. All dealer maintained. They want 28K

Silver, light leather interior.

I stole the old one from my wife and bought a GTI last year. And while it;s been a blast to drive, I always said I'd get my wife another BMW.

Payments will stay the same, insurance may go up a bit.

So tempting....

If it allows you to get rid of the queer of a car GTI, then yes.
Sal Paradise
do you know how many guns you could buy for 28k?
PMJackson21
I <3 my 335i and bmws in general, so I say yes. With the 330, your insurance shouldn't go up too much.

I can sell you an 06 325i with 39K for $19500, not much difference between the cars.

or

www.eastgatemotorcars.com

I have a nice 06 and 07 5 series as well.

and yes rose, the layoffs are coming. 146 out the door by January. I was told today that I would not be one of them. 24 years seniority ftw.

So I helped the economy by stimulating it with my purchase. Caution to the wind baby...

ty ty...buyers remorse this morning, lol. Payments only went up a very small amount, so I have now idea why I feel this way. I am basically still in a 4 years loan scenario. Nothing has really changed and we will most likely pay this thing off early.

BMW's can have issues, and can get very expensive once they leave the warranty cocoon, which is why I chose to extend it. Probably not the smartest move financially, but it does bring piece of mind. And since it's primarily the wife's car all she will have to do it drop it off, grab the loaner, and be on her way.

I drove an Audi in Germany and loved it, but the warranty for BMW is the sickest. The dealer is right across the street practically, and I have this car covered head to toe, including tires, for the next 5 years. The only other expense now is gas.

I sold her old BMW to get the GTI a year ago and she always was sad about that, so I owed this to her. She works her F-ing ass off and deserved it. The GTI was a blast to drive, but I had 22K on it in 1 year!, but still, I made out +2K on the exchange, so that was sweet. Besides, I am back in the TL now, so it's not like I got put back in a bucket.

But I drove it in to work this morning. This car is so money, so much more refined than the GTI obv. Power up the wazoo, but in a very smooth way.

me likey.

I did have trouble with the sunroof but the service from BMW is the BEST. They come to my house, drop off a new BMW...take mine to the shop for service. When it's done...they'll bring it to my house or work and make the swap.

Well, with the TT being kinda small, I imagine it wouldn't win out in comfort.

I've just driven the A4/A6/S4/S6, and they're all amazing. I'm especially impressed at how smooth the manual's shift. This was back when I was a valet, and drove all kinds of stuff, Audi was always the nicest ride for me. Once I drove a viper around the block, cause a guy left it out front, and the guys were like, just take it around the block, if he comes back we'll say we had to move it for a second... so I do it, and the dude is standing there waiting when I got back... dammit!

What's the difference in the A4 and the S4?

It's basically the sport version, I don't know the details of what exactly is different though.

Congrats! Now Dinan that baby up and have some real fun. smile.gif

My only problem with my 335 (not so much my '05 325), is that I feel like I am never able to let her off her leash so to speak. Heh, I feel like I am a bad person for not bringing her back to Germany to frolic on the Autobahn with her kind. sad.gif

I hope it's not American built, just because the build quality of BMWs over there has been terrible recently. Lovely cars though. I am considering chopping off an arm and a leg for an E90 M3

How are you going to shift? smile.gif

Also, an arm and a leg would probably be a good deal considering the msrp on those. They are not selling well over here from what I heard, but that is obviously because of the economy + how expensive they are.

I miss my 3series with the full Dinan package.

Stage 3 chip
exhaust/air system
suspension (best handling car I have ever driven, better than a Porche)

Ya, I've looked into it for mine, but I can't justify the expense. If I come upon some 'f it' money, then I might though. The stage 3 for my car takes it from 306 hp to like 397; I already think the car is too fast for me, I can't imagine what 397 hp would be like.

Well I only had a 318i at the time. It was not fast enough, but that Dinan suspension was ridiculous. I bought it with it all on there from an old insurance salesman who had put 110K miles on in 2 years. I sold it with over 300K, little things started to break that were expensive.

I personally think BMW's are about the best made vehicles on the planet.

Scott I knew your mind was made up when you posted, lol

I will stick with my Acura, love the speed and pick up.

I'm probably going to be buying a car in the next 6 months and am currently looking in the $15k-$25k range. I love both Audis and BMWs, but I'm willing to look at anything. I'm 20 with a girlfriend, and I have no need for extra space but prefer 4-doors. What should I look at?

Yeah, you better add that. smile.gif

I like the older bodystyle that they phased out starting in '06 better than now. I dislike the little fin thing, but besides that I don't have any real complaints - it's just that I like the older style a bit more. Their design is usually understated, which I like.
