Villain was tight passive imo he was hovering around 0 for the longest time until he ended up like quadrupling with ak or something like that. I've been pretty laggy but have settled down lately as I've been card dead. Villain's bet meant to me either he had to have a monster aa or kk or had air. I really feel like he'd raise strong aces, and all other pairs here preflop. I thought he had maybe suited connectors or qj something liek that. I minraised him cz it looks so dang scary coming from me, and on this board, and i want to minraise here and not shove in case he did limp a monster. I don't think he ever shoves air here.

I think you know the answer.

Minraises can have fold equity if you create the right image. Astute players may believe you want a call, and that can look like trouble. But again, you need to establish the right table image.

Can you even give me a hand he limps on the button that is beating you on a 233 flop?

You raised him on the flop while holding the best hand. You committed half your chips to that flop, letting him know he couldn't play back at you. You dragged a pot. Congratulations smile.gif

You shoved A7 in a contested pot with no fold equity? Thats ammunition for a new post on it's own. tongue.gif

really had to double up we were around the ft bubble i didn't want to get in and sizzle out in 9th... I'l make a new post about it if you want. It folded around to him who limped and I shoved I think it was standard.

Is it even possible to establish a table image in donkaments?
