Went to the movies and saw Quarantine last night.... if you're a fan of 28 Days Later or the Resident Evil games than this is for you!

Plot
Television reporter Angela Vidal (Carpenter) and her cameraman (Harris) are assigned to spend the night shift with a Los Angeles Fire Station. After a routine 911 call takes them to a small apartment building, they find police officers already on the scene in response to blood curdling screams coming from one of the apartment units. They soon learn that a woman living in the building has been infected by something unknown. After a few of the residents are viciously attacked, they try to escape with the news crew in tow, only to find that the CDC has quarantined the building. Phones, internet, televisions and cell phone access have been cut-off, and officials are not relaying information to those locked inside. When the quarantine is finally lifted, the only evidence of what took place is the news crew’s videotape.

My Take
Personally I love these type of movies. Once the plot takes off (about 20min in) it holds you on the edge of your seat all the way 'till the end. There is a lot of gore but nothing too over the top by today's standards in comparison to saw or hostel, etc. The suspense and surprise attacks is what makes this movie a gem. The ending could've been a lot better but it was still great. The camera is a jumpy much like cloverfield or blair witch but whatever it adds to the suspense. It was like watching resident evil unfold infront of you

I saw the original Spanish movie Rec of which this is a remake and really liked it so I'll be checking this one out as well.

I liked it. It bothered me how incredibly stupid the people in the film were for the most part, but it was decently scary, exciting, and overall pretty interesting. A good "zombie" flick.

[rec] was SOOOO good. I will wait for Quarantine on Netflix. If you liked Quarantine I suggest you rent [rec]. You wont be dissapointed.

I almost never watch movies when I know everyone is going to die. What's the point?

Just saw the trailer for the sequel that takes places right after the first one ended.

I guess their going with the original title, and calling it REC2.
