Full Version: Tptk Can We Give Them Some Rope?

Maximizing value is perhaps my biggest leak. When to bet and what amount given the situation or when can I give them some rope.

CO is a 17/5/1.75 MP2 is a 24/6/1.6 My image is probably much tighter something like a 12/10/3 but I don't know if I can expect some of these players to consider that.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (8 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

saw flop | saw showdown

UTG ($4.75)
UTG+1 ($6.22)
MP1 ($6.61)
MP2 ($1.01)
CO ($2.15)
Hero (Button) ($10.55)
SB ($5.52)
BB ($9.98)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A, K
3 folds, MP2 calls $0.05, CO calls $0.05, Hero raises to $0.25, 2 folds, MP2 calls $0.20, CO calls $0.20

Flop: ($0.82) A, 3, 9 (3 players)
MP2 checks, CO checks, Hero???

Given the flush draw is out there a bet is standard to protect the hand. I think between .65 and .75. Could a check here be +EV in the long run given we have the Kh???

I don't think checking here is ok at all.

I probably bet around what you said about .75
babylondonks
I probably bet around 0.60 here, but you have to remember that you're betting the same amount when bluffing. One of the biggest tells online is when somebody who always bets out when they raise suddenly check. Bet every street until you're raised, here you're going to get called down by any ace
Moneyball16
No reason to get cute, just bet 3 streets.

Edit. I didnt look at stack sizes icon_doh.gif With these stack sizes I wouldnt hate a check. But with players this passive Id probably bet something small like simo is suggesting.
simo_8ball
I don't hate checking, but I think you're probably best just firing out. Given stack sizes I think you just need something like 30c here.
AcesOnFire
1. Bet and expect to get shoved on my atleast one smaller ace.
2. ??? (call!!!!)
3. Profit

Just get it all in on the flop. Virtually any two cards will be calling you.

Thanks for the info. I bet bet .75 and they both folded which is fine but when I looked back the next day I wondered if there was a way to get more out of them without getting to stupid.
TrueAce13
Bet every street. Do not get off the gas. Make money

You shouldn't really be doing anything other than value betting here. Players at these levels love to call, so just bet and let them call.

Guys, it's a $1 pot at the flop and both villains have less than $2. They're calling off any two or folding to a nickel.

I would recommend not slow playing at all at these limits or any microlimit NL game unless ur up against a super aggro opponent that you know will bet. There's a lot more value in fast playing ur hands.
NoBBiR
1) Bet.
2) ?, bet again.
