Hey guys, I absolutely love movies and I want to share some of my favorites that I care about. Eventually I will run out of my movies and just review any suggestions. Yes this is sort of a ripoff of Ray's idea, but he stopped his reviews. I will cut n paste good reviews since I'm a terrible writer.

Anyways, this movie is near and dear to my heart.

Blade Runner - Release date: June 25th, 1982.
Director: Ridley Scott (Alien, Gladiator)
Writers: Philip K. D.ick (novel) Hampton Francher (screenplay)
Actors: Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, Edward James Olmos, M. Emmet Walsh, Daryl Hannah.

(From IMDB.com)
What can be said about this film that hasn't already been covered in preceding decennia? Blade Runner (either version) stands the test of time as an epic story which transcends a disparity of genres, as well as the seminal "dark" sci-fi film which has been mimicked so frequently (to varying degrees of success) since its original release. The interplay of film noir, sci-fi, and what is one of the most philosophically symbolic and academically analyzed narratives of the modern era holds its ground on both visual and cerebral levels even in the face of today's CGI laden blockbusters. The new director's cut, contrary to many cinematic re-hashings, actually serves to clarify many of the more nebulous aspects of the plot and makes a great film even better, arguably allowing it to be modernized and polished for a new generation of viewers who are more picky and yet simultaneously less idealistic. All while sustaining the feeling and flavor of the original. Call it restorative work if you will. The tinny and meandering score by Vangelis is pure 1980s at its most brooding and fits the texture and mood of the film beautifully. Indeed, for many reasons, finding this film in someone's DVD collection makes a true statement about their discriminating and refined taste in movies, and equally their appreciation of film as an artistic medium. I would suggest picking up a reader by someone like Nietzsche, Foucualt, Descartes, Kierkegaard, or any of the great existentialist philosophers after viewing this film in order to appreciate the story & its concepts at a whole new level, regardless if you're watching it for either the 1st, or the 100th time. An enduring classic and an intrepid piece of film-making with rich & often haunting visuals designed to entertain and promote introspection amongst its viewers. 9.5/10.

So let me get this straight, you're just gonna copy and paste movie reviews from imdb? Um, why? I'm pretty sure most of us can find imdb.com on our own.
keith crime
Which of the 37 versions of Blade Runner does that refer to?

I just wanted to share some of the stuff that makes me happy and I enjoy doing and you guys try your very best to put people down. I have a suggestion. Try getting off the computer and getting a hobby besides having over 26000 posts on a internet forum? Thanks.

This is easily the worst idea in FCP history. Why would anyone read to 'your' thoughts on movies, when every single poster here already thinks you're a ****ing idiot? (excuse my French)

EDIT: I posted this before I read any other posts... sorry I was just being redundant.

Throwing my post count at me..always the last resort of a small mind.

Seems everyone else seems to agree this is the dumbest idea ever. But you keep on making this work, corky.

yea man, only have a 1/10 of the posts you have and create stupid topics of reviews that aren't your own, along with you being too lazy/stupid to spell check the 20 character topic title. YOU LAZY ASS WITH NO LIFE HOW DARE YOU.

wow easy does it everyone... remember this is a thread, in a poker forum, on the internet.... not something to get angry about. If OP wants to post his favorite movies with a review by someone else is it really a huge deal?

No. All we did is point out that there was already a thread like this, no attack, nothing derogatory about him, he then flipped out yelling at everyone.

FWIW I don't want to have to click on multiple threads to see people review movies. But then to click on this thread and see in addition in being repeptitive, all he did was cut and paste other people reviews, yet called it Roberts reviews, is slightly obnoxious.

If you hadn't titled the thread "Robert's Movie Reviews", others might not have jumped on you so hard. You should have titled this thread, "Robert's Plagiarized Movie Reviews". I don't see how anyone could have a beef with that.
