I was checking out the final table coverage of the event and couldn't believe the discrepancies in the reporting of the final hand. CardPlayer and PokerWire gave the same account but PokerPages' is way different.
From CardPlayer:
Hand 279 - Ivey has the button, he limps, Lisandro raises $30,000 more, and Ivey calls. The flop comes 5c-3s-2s, and both players check. The turn card is the 10h, Lisandro bets $70,000, and Ivey calls. The river card is the Qc, and Lisandro studies the board for a while before betting $150,000. Ivey looks at the board, then at Lisandro, then he says, "I'm all in." The crowd rises in anticipation, wondering if this could be the last hand. Lisandro takes his time before calling. Lisandro shows Jc-10d for a pair of tens, and Ivey shows 9d-2d for a pair of twos. Phil Ivey has been eliminated in second place, earning $299,360.
From PokerWire:
In the final hand Ivey limped in on the button. Lisandro raised $30,000 on the big blind. Ivey called the raise. The flop came 5c3s2s. Both players checked. The turn card came Th. Lisandro bet $70,000 on the turn and Ivey called. The river card was Qc. Lisandro bet $150,000 on the river and Ivey went all in over the top. Lisandro calls his all in bet and turned up JcTd showing a pair of T's that would defeat Ivey's 9d2d for a pair of 2's.

Jeff raises 30K, Phil calls, Flop 3s 2s 5c. Turn is the Th. No betting after the flop. Jeff bets 70K and Phil calls. The river is the Qc. Jeff bets 150K and Phil moves all in. Jeff contemplates this one and calls. Jeff has T T and Phil has 2 2. Set over set...Jeff takes Phil off and makes it game, set and match. Phil picks up 2nd place and $$299,360. Jeff takes down the championship and $542,360. Jeff came in as the chip leader and leaves as the chip leader. Well played gentlemen.
Now, I've noticed minor differences in the reporting between different sites before, but in this case PokerPages is telling a completely different story. Í would tend to believe CardPlayer first as they seem to be the premier poker magazine (plus the report is corroborated by PokerWire) but I've always enjoyed the colorful reporting on PokerPages and wonder how their account could be so inaccurate?
What do you all think?
