Last year we were talking about shows like Life, Chuck, Pushing Up Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money etc.

So what looks good out there this year?

I caught the new FOX show, Fringe. Interesting, but a little silly at times. Could go in a lot of directions.

The Mentalist looks interesting, as well, although it may be the worst name for a show I've ever heard.

I really enjoyed Fringe. X-Files meets Lost meets something else I lost since I just got a phone call.
It had some flaws for sure but I think as time goes on it will get better.


Dollhouse by Joss Whedon is on my radar (maybe Jan of 09)

Caprica, the sorta spin of of BSG where they go back 50 yrs before the cylon war.

Kath And Kim might be good as well.

Last night I watched the 2nd episode of the new Son's of Anarchy. So far it has me interested and I like it.

This is a really good show, granted I've only seen the first episode. Any information if FX will replay the second one some time this week?

Nope. The original Australian version is funny, but the American version just took the plot but lost the characters and therefore the wit and humour.

Fringe has potential to be very good. I really enjoyed the 1st ep and look forward to see more as long as the network execs don't "note" it to death.

The Mentalist struck me as a ripoff of Psych with a dramatic bent. I think I'm gonna pass until I hear some chatter about it.

I really haven't seen much advertised as far as new shows, or if I have nothing tickled my brain enough for me to become interested. I'm looking forward to returning sophomores shows like Life and Chuck mostly.

Well it's more because my wife's high school classmate is in it.

I agree without having seen either one.

I think it might be the worst casting job ever.

I guess it is too late to look for the replay. I see on their schedule they have a replay of episode #2 now on Sunday at midnight. They probably had the pilot last week

Season 2 of Breaking Bad. It's not new for '09 but there have only been like 6 or 8 episodes so far, and it's really really good.

TrueBlood is very, very good.

The one preview I can remember for this show made it sound like a ripoff of Psych...only not funny.

We don't get some of your channels up here in Canada..any first run shows on FX or some others. Not sure Psych is showing up here.

Do you not take kindly to my channels in those parts?
