how bad does my opponent have to be for me to play my hand this way?

i thought he was this bad, but he didn't get exactly lucky here and losing this much in one hand that i didn't get sucked out on makes me question judgment here.

This is the way I prob would've played it. I guess it depends on how transparent this guy plays. Does he ever reraise here with out the nut lo draw? Does he bet his draws or pretty much only firing with made hands? If you thought you had a solid read on the guy then you go with it. If he is weak and happened to catch a big hand, well he got paid well for sucking overall on this hand, but you will most likely get it back so I wouldn't sweat it that much. Do you like the shorthanded play? I would think it fits the style you like to play. I am showing a much better win rate at full ring although not having as big of winning (or losing) sessions as I did at 6max either

i would probably call the flop and raise the turn with your hand, fwiw. you already have things HU, and you're rarely scooping this, so you want to keep the pot as small as possible while still representing a great deal of strength, which a call flop/raise turn line accomplishes. on the flop, your running flush scooping possibility isn't likely enough to warrant a cap, imo.
