Any clues to villans range at this point? with a complete donk involved I am guessing any 2 cards he can get his hand on .... any hand with an queen 2 hearts and any 2 of them is my guess but the river check is either a check raise or checking hoping he has confused you to the point of checking minimizing his risk if he is beat .... gotta love donks .... with minimal info that is my best guesses ..... though on flop i prolly would have reraised him but i dont hate the flat calling his reraise

Maybe some will disagree I don't claim to be the poker expert, but here is my view of this hand. I don't like it preflop, minraise means nothing really, and I will always call a minraise in these games if I am already in the pot PF. Flop. Bet is so so, but why not full pot amount? This is drawy board, so you definitely want to price those draws. Once he comes back at you, I really hate flat calling here. Why not come over the top, and he might even call you when he is way behind, or with the draw. It seems you are playing it safe here, despite the fact you have flopped the monster. If so, turn is fine... If you will not raise on the flop, then no point in raising the turn. River, well, you cannot bet for value any more, that is for sure. So, just check it down and see if you win. You slowplayed it and put yourself in this position, so I guess you now must slowplay the river as well and check behind. Not trying to make you feel bad or anything, but please, do check the river smile.gif

I raise the turn to put Villian all in.

As played, check behind.

I agree that the river is a check behind.

However, PF was a 4x raise, which is fine. The flop should be about .35-.40, and we should be 3betting his minraise to at least $2. Since you flat called the flop, I like raise/shoving his turn bet because even if he made his flush, we're not folding our hand. This way you extract value from worse hands that will call (2pair, top pair type hands), and if he has the flush he's probably getting our money by the river anyways.

Yup, you are right, my bad, i somehow thought it was $0.10 BB. Thanks for that correction smile.gif

But if it is that limit, definitely either push on flop or turn if you have no intention on folding.

3-bet flop/raise turn

4x preflop is fine, but you can probably get away with raising 5x or more at this level.

Bet more on the flop. Reraise villain's flop raise.

THREEBET THE FLOP.

Guys...we really don't have to 3-bet the flop. We've probably got him crushed. If he's bluffing, let him bluff a little...if he's semi-bluffing and gets there, we can suck out. Let me add...if that 7h.gif on the flop was the jh.gif, I agree more with y'all on the 3-bet.

However, we do need to shove the turn.

See, I thought villain's range was pretty wide (anything from a flush draw- bottom pair). I just flat called his flop bet to get more value out of the hand. I now definitely see I should have raised the turn.

If villain pots the river, what is our play then?

Thanks for the advice

Cry and fold.

cry/fold >> raise/fold
