Meh it was mediocre at best. Sighhhh i miss the 80's metallica.

They've release a bunch of tour dates for the end of the year/beginning of next. Metallica live is by far the best.

<3 Metallica, but didn't love this song on first listen. We'll see if it and the album grows on me. Specifically, didn't like the first half and the vocals are pretty weak, but definitely liked the 2nd half.

Haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but so far the weakest link is Hetfield.

Saw them afew weeks ago in ireland, amazing show and hetfield's voice was actually pretty good tbf.

They played Cyanide from the new album sounds decent imo, just listened to tdtnc can't say im that excited about the new album just sounds tired and nothing really new about it.

edit: just listened to a few more of the songs, i love that there are some really strong base lines, adds alot more to it than was in St.Anger. Seems like they gave trujillo free reign and the songs really benefit imo.

IMO, the new album is the best stuff they've put out since the black album. i just finished a mtt, 7+ hrs, and was listening to the new album non-stop..

Haven't gone through the whole album yet, but they are playing "The End of the Line" on radio and I think this song is very goot. Hope I can say the same about the rest of the album. But Metallica could make an album of irish folk music and i'd still friggin love them.

Can't fckin WAIT for Guitar Hero: Metallica.

Apparently, Metallica fans are pissed because they claim the new album sounds better on Guitar Hero than on the actual disc (for an audiophile explanation of why, go here.)

I'm not really a Metallica fan and haven't heard any version of the album, but it just struck me as funny.

I noticed this last night. I thought my headphones were busted but quickly found out it was the album. In headphones it is really distorted to the point of not being able to listen to it. It doesn't sound that bad through my ipod connected to my car radio though.
