Still got the button to act behind you. I'd check to him and see what he does.

am i looking to fold or am i looking to play an all in pot HU?

Obv after you cbet you're never folding in this size of pot with under $30 left. fwiw I don't mind getting it in here.

yeah bet folding is bad if you are betting near pot. i think in this situation we dont need to bet so big though... maybe.

It's a 4bet pot. Pretty much any bet we make will have us committed. If you want to try pot control you can check, but bet/folding is tough with stack sizes and a pot that we've bloated this big.

i like mservs original response the more i think about it. on the flop i am going to decide that i am never folding this if i can know for sure its heads up and now i am going to try to entice somebody into getting all their money in the middle with me.

is that a good plan here?

bloat?

would you not have repoped it preflop?

is it ok as long as i am doing it occasionally also with things like double suited rundowns and coordinated high pairs?
bdc30
oh it's fine I was just making the point that once we do that and build almost a full stack sized pot, we can't get away from a "safe" flop like this.
ROBBBIGG
I would've called with position. Since we reraised, this is a decent flop for us to get it in.

Agreed, and we've put ourselves in a very vulnerable spot because we've telegraphed our aces, and now our opponents can gladly get away from anything worse than aces and gladly stack us with a 6 or QQ. I kind of don't like the re-pop pre.

I agree with bdc.

You either 4-bet preflop and push this flop.

Or you call the 3-bet preflop and play postflop.

FWIW i 4-bet these aces and push this flop pretty much everytime. Against two really passive players , you can check flop and bet turn if it gets checked to you and fold if one of them bets because Button won't check flop behind with a 6 on flop when its checked to him and BB will miss the check raise and lead turn with a 6 when flop gets checked thru. We still can't bet fold so there is a good chance we will get stacked everytime against QQ.

Meh this is why it is PLOMAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Just put it in on flop and save the trouble.

i think all the money was going in no matter what you did.

however, doing what you can to get it in early is a smart move becouse by the river there will usually be something out there that looks scary.

I think the important lesson from that hand is the flat call preflop. If Bundy had repopped preflop with these stack sizes, it "could" put us in a lot of awkward situations postflop being out of position. Yes, the money's probably going in on this particular hand one way or the other - things may have been different though if he'd telegraphed that he had aces by 4betting them pre. nh bud

^^^^^^^ this.

I doubt he was stacking off for $390 with queens there if i had 4 betted preflop and led flop big.
