why would i very deliberately bet that amount instead of the pot?

it has something to do with how much i left him with on the river.

doing this never occurred to me before, what you guys think? good? or should i just be bashing him over the head with the pot?

it's a good bet if you don't want him to call the river but want value on the turn. if you wanted a call on the river, bet more on the turn, obv.

by betting less on the turn it allows you to make a pot size bet on the end which unless he hits the nutz or has at lest 23 also it's gonna be very hard for him to call. I like it nice hand sir
