Big raise here, or too much risk of getting quartered and losing to a higher straight?

you have to get your whole stack in there every time they will let you.

yeah, push as much in as you can get! good shot you are getting 3/4 here. I prob would have led the flop as well, but that's just a personal preference

I had been leading the flop quite a bit in this type of situation so I was just mixing it up a bit. I've also been experimenting with smaller than pot-bets against more than one villain, which is why I led for .10 on the turn.

The other thing I didn't consider at the time is that BB only has about $1.50 left behind, so if he ends up quartering me I could still end up taking most or all of the side pot against SB. Is that an additional worthwhile reason to pot-raise here?

absolutely! although I wouldn't need much of a reason other than I have the nut lo along with a higher str8. I just think you are getting 3/4 much much much more often than you are getting 1/4ed here

I did make a raise on the end and unfortunately I did get quartered. I've been getting quartered at least once/session lately so I've decided to look at such hands to figure out if I'm doing anything wrong or if it's just bad luck.
