ok to call one raise in the small blind in a very multiway pot with 27xxx?

how about the big blind?

how about since these guys are paying off with 9s for multiple bets after the third draw...

(i guess the question would also apply to 23xxx)

edit: wow i think i may have just found my new favorite game....

edit: adding more predraw questions

what about hands like 3456x? 4567x? how about after a raise and a caller who really sucks?

ok to call one raise in the small blind in a very multiway pot with 27xxx? if the villains are bad postdraw, sure. if they're not, don't unless it's a multiway pot.

how about the big blind? hellmuth style

how about since these guys are paying off with 9s for multiple bets after the third draw... LOL

(i guess the question would also apply to 23xxx)same hand as 27 basically, so same answers

what about hands like 3456x? eeeew unless you're otb and e1 folded quickly to you, indicating deuces remain in the deck. 4567x? samehow about after a raise and a caller who really sucks? here at least one, probably two or three, deuces are dead, and you're pretty far behind. in position, where you can play perfectly on the final draw most of the time, these hands have a lot more value. in ep, they're huge moneysucks and if i see someone make like a 45679 on the end, i immed label them a predraw fish

I thought the same thing the first time I played until I lost my entire stack when my good 8's kept losing to better 8's, and my better 8's kept losing to 7's. I find it incredibly difficult to know where I stand in this game against opponents who like to keep drawing. You never know whether someone hit their 2-7 on the third draw or is playing A-7 or 22357 because they're completely out to lunch.

2-7 is an amazingly high variance game, mostly because of the reasons jmbreslin mentioned. if you play a very aggressive style, a 1000BB roll isn't a bad idea, thought 5-600 is more standard. i regularly have swings of over 100BB in pretty short sessions.
