Not sure if this deserves it's own thread but I don't know where else to put it. The trailer was released yesterday at Comic-Con and this link is of somebody video-taping the trailer. It doesn't come out until May, 2009.

I'm kind of tired of X-men characters.... only one I would get excited about is a Magneto movie.

I'm not quite sick of the characters yet...I liked the 3 movies. But I really want to see a Magneto movie. The one they've been talking about would be about a younger Magneto hunting down and killing the Nazis that killed his family in the Holocaust-only problem is Ian McKellen isn't getting any younger. I know there's technology to make him look younger, but they better makes this movie quickly.

I for one love the xmen movies...bring em on!!

Word is that Gambit will be in the film. That's enough for me.

I'd like another X-men movie, but having one centered around just 1 character seems kind of lame to me I guess.

The fact that Gambit is going to be in it makes me think I will not see it. Easily the worst mutant ever.

He can charge small objects like playing cards with energy and they explode when he throws them.

Pretty pumped he's gonna be in this movie as well as Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. Used to watch the Xmen cartoon a ton as a kid and loved Wolverine and Gambit the most.

Are good people working on this? I hope they are and I hope they rework the franchise ala Batman Begins/Dark Knight so the Wolverine movie doesn't suck as hard as the third X-Men movie. Cause that sucked really hard. I mean, come to think of it, the whole series wasn't all that good. The first and second ones had decent parts, but their overall plot lines were pretty horrible. And the third one was just the worse telling of the phoenix plot line possible. I'm not sure why they even tried to tackle that one since it's so convoluted for a two hour movie.

So, yeah, hope this doesn't suck, will probably be stunning mediocre.

And Gambit rocks, so I'll be happy if he's in this.

I heard from a reliable source that Gambit plays some poker in the movie.

Yeah dn is in it. I love wolverine and always wanted to know more of his backstory. Cant wait to see this.

man I hate it when people cheer at the movies. I remember people cheered when Frodo threw the ring in the fire, people are lame.

I saw all 3 in a movie marathon at midnight. At the end one of the girls in the group next
to ours started cheering for frodo and actually ended up in tears

Only reason to see this movie...

I hate that. Yesterday at Pineapple Express, people cheered like three times...and it's not like this was a very emotional movie...stupid stoners!

I personally think this movie will be decent but I absolutely hate the director. They cast an actor that fits pretty well as Gambit in Taylor Kitsch. The director Gavin Hood has absolutely no experience doing a movie like this and his only other mainstream movie was the very anti-american Rendition.

I think it might be pretty good and wouldn't worry so much about it revolving around just one character. There are several mutants in the film.

I love this movie series and Jackman is the main reason, The guy is total money. I would do him hard, yes I would.

Seriously, this movie looks good and I am looking forward to it. Even the weaker 'X' movies are still great imo. Love this franchise.

I just hope Daniel rifles 10-7 across the room and cuts someones head off. That scene had better be in there man.

slightly spoilerish plot element

I've been hearing froim people who have seen this already that the movie is horrible.

They completely ruin some of the characters, most tragically Deadpool which makes me a sad panda and ruins the main reason I wanted to see the movie.

Sigh.....

Watched the movie last night. Not much of a fan of the X-men movies in general as I think they are very weak. This movie was better than the first 3 X-men movies and yes Deadpool is a waste of screen time.

Sabretooth was well done.

I wonder if Daniel has any lines in the final edit. felt like Gambit was wasted in the film...wish he played a bigger part. it was more like "I'm gambit! look, I do stuff!!"

overall quite enjoyed the film though...then again, I'm a sucker for xmen anything
