Full Version: Interesting Line From Poor Position

UTG has potted every time it comes to him. When repotted, he has flatted every time. UTG+1 is pretty new to table.

UTG is also playing poor versus me because I pretty much have owned his soul leading into this hand. He tries to run odd bluffs at odd times, and many have backfired against him versus me so far.

Am I getting the right odds here to hit the flop hard and try and take down a large pot? Or is this just a case of I have too much gamble in me to be able to stop myself?

Being that I had never seen UTG 4-bet, I thought it was very possible we were seeing AAxx and AAxx....

If you think they both have AAxx then you should shovel that in preflop. As it is you're gonna go broke with any pair on the board (as we can see, and likely as you should). I don't see why you're giving the SB credit for aces though.

This is more of a math question.

Wow crazy. If both players have aces the big question is if they have a suited ace in diamonds and/or if they share the same straight draws as u. If they have your flush draw duplicated your only getting 25% equity, easy fold. If not your getting somewhere between 38-45% so the all-in works. If the more of the cards one of the players share with u, the worse shape you are in against the straights. I like the call. Gamble Gamble.

I think this is a very read dependent call. If you are able to think both have AAxx then I would probably gamble too, putting your 1 buy in to win 2 extra. Would you make the same play with a 89TQ hand?

What were the results?

Yes, I would make the same play with 89TQ.

Results really don't matter here but here it is anyways.
