With all the FCHL talk taking up the forum, its time for the real league to take the spotlight.
The AHL boasts owners from Scotland to Las Vegas. From a 5'4 owner to a 6 '5 giant. From young and old and everything in between. From accountants, businessman to professional poker players. The group of guys that are in this league is diverse and fun.
Here is a post I posted on our forum.
It has come to my attention that there is still some (for lack of a better word) shmucks in this league that think they have a chance to beat me. For all of these people led by the incomprehensible owner of the Canadian Gothic DAle and the intellectually challenged owner of the Rug Rats Elliott, you guys have a lot to learn about hockey.
The four clueless guys in my division will continue to be clueless.
Other than the aforementioned two clowns we have two other managers who think they know what they are doing. One of them, lets call him Mr Vegas, has a team that has overachieved the last few years. This team will not only fall back to where it should but it will challenge for the last spot in the division. The team is lacking grit and talent and has too many soft Russian players.
The other team , lets call him Mr new Daddy, is clueless. He thinks his players are all stars, but other than Crosby and Thornton there is nothing there. One of his young stars has decided to bolt to Russia. He has been overheard saying , "Please come back Radulov, please come back"
Official rankings with potential lineups will be released soon. But lets just say its obvious that this is the year of the horse.

One thing I like better about the AHL vs. FCHL is that you guys play on 6 game nights. You have 20 teams and we have 15 and we seem to try and avoid it.

We don't even have our contracts page up yet! Freaking babies, our commish is a "Daddy" now. Sometimes people don't get priorities at all.

I made the following trade offer to Dale recently...
Maxim Afinogenov
for
Alexander Steen
1st Round Pick
and Future considerations
he said I wasnt even close and laughed..Well he missed out on that one...
Afinogenov is only $2.75...Steen according to him is a stiff who plays on the Leafs.
Thats why the Gothic will never amoun to anything.
