I don't normally raise this naked KK like this without a few more spots to better position but I havn't played a hand in a while and was feeling frisky.
Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 3
, T
, K
, K
. 2 folds, MP1 calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1, MP3 calls $1, CO calls $1, 1 fold, SB calls $0.90, 1 fold, MP1 calls $0.75.
Flop: ($5.25) 4
, J
, 7
(5 players)SB checks, MP1 checks, Hero bets $3.5, MP3 calls $3.50, CO folds, SB folds, MP1 folds.
I felt pretty good about the flop and didn't mind betting out. I had a few spade blockers in my hand and felt like a flush draw was most likely to call me.
Turn: ($12.25) T
(2 players)Hero checks, MP3 checks.
I checked here simply to keep the pot a little smaller and not to bloat a pot with a marginal hand.
River: ($12.25) K
(2 players)Hero checks, MP3 checks.
Obviously a great card but also fills a straight draw. I had my button on the bet $6 amount, kind of a blocker/value bet but considered against it. If I bet and he raised I wouldn't really know where I was at. Since I was OOP I was planning on c/c a river bet that was not close to a pot amount. Is this hand more standard the way I played it or did I miss a bet on turn/river?
