Villain in the hand is like.. Grand Central station. He has been calling every raise I have made. The only time he didn't was when I 3-bet. He's been floating on the flop a decent amount but has been folding to some C-bets. He's never taken this check-call-check-call line with anything he hasn't folded to a value bet on the river.

I thought he could be floating me with a small pair, overs, some kind of 8 or some kind of two.

I really wanted to value bet the river, but I pussed out and checked. Is there any value in betting the river here given Villain's tendencies?

I'm shutting down on the river. There are very few hands you beat that he'll pay with.
I might call a 20% or so sized pot bet if he fires just out of self-loathing I guess.

This is fine

This is a pocket-pair or ace-high a lot...which are typically going to check this river behind but might call a value-bet. He should very rarely have a 2 here since he's unlikely to call with them pre-flop or resist popping at some point. It could be an 8, but again, probably not. The only hands I'm worried about are quads or 99. Probably want to bet/fold here...unless it's something stupid like a min-raise...where we can make a crying call.
