I guessed correctly what this was, but I haven't listened to the album, so I couldn't say for sure without consulting google.

The one I have been listening to most is the Eddie Vedder "Into the Wild" soundtrack.

There is however too much music to pick only one "Favorite" album.

I could probably pick a favorite for each genera (sp?), but that would be it. I mean can you really say that Jimi Hendrix > Bob Marley.

Must just be me, but a lot of the rappers whose first albums are considered classics like these two I've liked their sophomore albums better.

Do people still listen to a whole album at once?

I have bought Nirvana Nevermind 4 times because of theft, losing it and format change cassete to cd so I guess that one is my favorite. GNR Appetite is pretty tight too. Kill Em All rounds out the top 3.

Hell yeah I do. I'm not gonna let the music industry tell me which songs on an album I should listen to.
barrec
I have several favorites. But if I have to choose one, and the thread says so, I'd go with The Mars Volta's "Francis the Mute."

Those 2 are definitely in my top 5, along with NIN Pretty Hate Machine and Alice in Chains Jar of Flies.

Jon Brion's Meaningless probably tops the list.

QFT... Self-titled was also sweet.

I gotta go w/ Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory... Maybe it's my pre-pubescent "I'm angry at my parents and want to listen to screaming and whatnot" self talking... but they definitely peaked w/ their first album as Linkin Park. Sad, but still a great album.

Oh, and...
