No surprise with the number 1 pick, rumor has it that Nell turned down a big offer for the pick.

The owner of the 2nd overall pick has opted to burn up every second of the 12 hours he has to make a selection trying to trade it.

We're still stuck on Stamkos, presumably for another 3 hours or so.
ajs510
Drew Doughty has been selected with the #2 overall pick.
Nikita Filatov has been selected with the #3 overall pick.
WestcoastCanuck
Jiri Hudler (0.50 for 4 seasons) has been traded to the Lost Cause. In exchange, the WheatAles receive the 16th overall pick.

The WheatAles recently acquired Datysuk, making Hudler expendable, despite his nice contract.

sorry sir.

davey is up next and could have picked, but he wanted to talk some more before making a decision.

I don't have a say in whether the draft will be tweaked, but I really like the slower style we use. the NHL entry draft does it a lot faster than we do, but they also physically have everyone there and ready to talk while the environment is changing with each pick. just my opinion.

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

The asdfjkl; have trade the #11 (1st round) to the Injured Reserve for the #15 (Round 2) and #38 (Round 4) picks.

So is there a team named "Injured Reserve", if not consider me very confused.

I was really hoping Tedenby or Matthias would fall to my next pick (#16) when I took Brunnstrom at # 8. Oh well, at least Brunnstrom is likely to have a good centerman for a while.

I did my damnest to get a pick anywhere between 8 and where nell took him specifically for wilson, but nobody wanted cap I guess...

not the first time my assets have been passed over. the ladies do it routinely....

What does everyone think o the Daultan Leveille pick at 21? How about Jordan Eberle at 16?
rinswun
21 - daultan leveille
22 - patric hornqvist

Thank you.

I used to own the 5th overall pick and was playing with the idea of taking wilson in that slot before I ended up trading that pick. Then when I get on the computer and see that he is still available, I couldn't believe it. He is just getting no love in the FCHL. Everyone passed because he is a two-way forward, which may be true, but so is Henrik Zetterberg (not comparing the two players).

He was in my list but I didn't think he would make it to 28. He almost did though, almost...I still think that if you didn't pick him I might have gotten him at 28. I was also trying to get one of Danny's picks to better my chances. Oh well, nice pick.

My pick was a toss up between him and Caputi.

I don't know anything about prospects yet, so I just went with the homer pick, and who I knew more about, in the end.

I have to admit that I didn't know much about prospects coming into this but the FCHL has increased my interest and knowledge of the NHL. I know more about the Blackhawks and the Oilers than I ever knew about the Wings. lol
