Hero?

I just made the money on this tournament and i've been card dead for like half an hour, i have 1700 and the pot has 1500 in it already, so is this a good place to push?

I think you can find a better spot with more fold equity. I don't hate the shove, but I think it would be better to enter the post first to make a stand

Off the top, let me say that shoving here isn't horrible, but only because your stack is very short with blinds and antes being what they are. But I probably don't shove here.

You shouldn't be thinking so much about your stack size in relation to the amount of chips in the pot here. You should be more worried about the number of opponents already in the pot. It's going to be extremely hard to fold any of them. Good news for you if you manage to win the hand obviously, but you might be putting yourself in a spot where you're chances of winning the pot are very thin.

Let's say you get three callers, with so-so holdings of:

ATo
JTo
55

This would be probably the best you could expect, and you would be just under 20 percent to win the hand. Change JT to JQ and the 5s to 8s and your down to just under 13 percent.

Let's say you wait and later it folds to you and you pick up 7s6s and you shove into the bb, who wakes up with AKo. Your chances of having your hand hold up are 42 percent. Clearly, despite your meager stack, you should try to wait for an opportunity to either pick up a better hand or face off against fewer opponents.

very little FE, wait for first in vig.

Shove 1/3 of the time.

It's either this hand or the next, I suppose...
