I can't remember the name but The Score was talking about a black player who left the Russian league after something like 2 weeks because the racism was so bad. According to him people were throwing bananas on the ice and yelling at him the whole time, I cant see Emery being able to deal with that.

He wont need to deal with it for long. Once he gets his head straight he'll be back in the NHL.

Ray Emery should've called Anson Carter about experiences in Russia. Europe is pretty racist (NJ Devils Johnny Odya played while thousands of fans made gorilla sounds in Sodertalje!)to beging with but Russia is the worst.

With Emery's temper he could end up in real trouble in Moscow which is serious partytown.

I agree with James that Colorado should've taken him before Raycroft. I also agree that a year or two in Russia doesn't help your chances in NHL.
