I just got a $60 gift card for Amazon.com. I'm going to use it to buy 3 poker books. I went to checkout the books and was told I need to enter my credit card number. WTF? If the order is more than the gift card, DON'T FILL THE ORDER! How fucking difficult is it???
Is there any way I can place the order without a CC that I haven't figured out? Do I have to go find someone with a credit card to do it? This is really fucking stupid.

I use Amazon all the time.
They want a credit card number to confirm the account from the beginning. I didn't find it to be all that big of a request...

And it wouldn't be - if I had a credit card. But, since I don't, I'm trying to figure out some alternatives because I'd like to get these books asap.

Let someone with a cc place your order for you (using the gift card, I think that's possible) and have it shipped to your address. Yes, what a pain. I don't think they should ask unless they need it. In my case, they always need it. I spend a lot of money on Amazon.

Do you have a Visa or MC debit card? That works for me.
