BB is 35/4/.7 MP is 35/10. Both only about 100 hands. Don't know mp at all and BB is just passive obv.
Comments on all streets appreciated, even preflop. Sometimes I call in these situations with AQ,AJ, KQ, and sometimes I 3-bet. I think my results are better 3-betting, but I don't think it's mathematically correct vs their raising range.

Just noticed this when posting, the table has been 9-10 handed.

By the river, I'm gussing AX. A K, Q, and maybe J of diamonds I think bb would bet. I don't know if AK would fold and I'm not sure a worse non-diamond A would call, so I don't know about betting the river. It just felt right at the time.

I'm confused - it seems like you don't think you should have bet the river but did anyway? You are right - better hands will not fold for 13-1 odds, and worse hands are not likely to call. Since you 3-bet PF is AJ or AT without a diamond calling??? I can't imagine him folding much that he was willing to check/raise the turn with. You're in position, just show it down.

I agree that the river bet is teh suck.

I play the rest the same, and strongly consider folding the river if he bets.

If the river isn't a diamond, does betting become profitable?
antistuff
so are you bluffing or value betting the river?

I think so. I'll bet any river that does not complete a draw.

He turned over a weak flush?

I think betting that river is pretty bad.

Once I re-read this hand the next day, it became obvious that this was a pretty bad river bet. He did call with ATo, no diamond.

Does anyone make plays once in a while based on a strong feeling, even though on the surface there is really no chance that you correct, and wind up being right most of the time?
