First, preflop... What are your thoughts? SSHE says call 2, but I just don't feel right doing it. I really feel I should have folded or 3-bet. Does anyone here support calling 2?

Second, turn. I lucked out big time obviously. I actually mis-clicked the call. Thinking about it after the hand, I realised this could actually be good. Going for an overcall from BB... But now that I've typed it I just realised that if I raised I get the extra bet from UTG+2 when he calls... Hmm...

Anyway... thoughts, criticisms, abuse... go for it.

I 3-bet preflop, cuz it's more fun, and I'm like super really good postflop (compared to the monkeys I play). I don't hate a coldcall, but we're playing fit/fold in a few too many spots on the flop I think. I'd rather get the blinds out of this pot, take their dead money into a 2 or 3 way pot here, if we can, and give my 8s a better chance at holding up UI, or making someone make a mistake by folding overcards to my 8s on a board like K74 when they have JT or whatever the case may be.

I know turn was a misclick, but it's still better to 3-bet, because it doesn't look like BB is too interested in folding. This may be results oriented, but he can have a draw here a lot, and won't fold it for any number of bets, and rarely do people raise/fold, so you get that extra BB anyways from UTG+2. Plus he may cap, etc. Lots of good things can happen when we 3-bet.

Your own analysis is pretty solid. Preflop this is a 3-bet or a fold for me, depending on the raiser. I keep betting on the turn , no slowing down ever.

if UTG is the kind to not fold for 2 or 3 more once he's already in, and BB likes to defend his blinds, I like just calling.

we have good position on the raiser for isolation plays, etc. after the flop

im curioius what UTG+2 played like that. 55?

I like Zach's ideas but I always assumed I was beat too ofetn instead of thinking how I could take the inititive and make others make bad decisions.
I played back when everyone sucked and you could wait to make a hand and fold to aggression without prper odds.
